+CBC Sports has announced the addition of three-time Stanley Cup champion Martin Brodeur to the Studio 42 broadcast team as a guest analyst starting with Game 4 of the Ottawa / Pittsburgh series on Wednesday.

“I am thrilled to join the esteemed team of broadcasters at Hockey Night in Canada, and look forward to sharing my insight and perspective with viewers,” Brodeur said.

Brodeur joins Ron MacLean, P.J. Stock, Elliotte Friedman, Glenn Healy, Kevin Weekes and Andi Petrillo in-studio between periods adding further analysis to CBC’s playoff broadcasts.

Sweden on Sunday became the first host nation to win gold at the IIHF World Championship since 1986, toppling Switzerland, 5-1, at Globe Arena in Stockholm.

"It's an unbelievable feeling. You can't put it into words," #NJDevils defenseman Henrik Tallinder told IIHF.com. "As soon as we got our legs and got that first goal, I thought we controlled the game pretty well."

Tallinder posted a goal and two assists in the #IIHFWorlds and averaged 21:05 of ice time.

#USAHockey captured the bronze medal at the 2013 IIHF World Championship with yesterday's 3-2 shootout victory over Finland. It's Team USA's first medal at the world championship since 2004 and fourth since taking the gold in 1960.

Stephen Gionta registered a team-high four shots and finished the #IIHFWorlds with three goals in 10 games for the U.S. #NJDevils teammate Ryan Carter posted a shorthanded goal and an assist in the tourney.
