This is the monitor stand, hutch that will go on top of my desk. I cut the wood tonight; it's not assembled. The left and right sides of the base have a taper in and were tricky to cut.

NinjaDiva: DIY - Tomato Stool
Art Project Idea: Freshen up an Old stool 1. Spray-paint the wood stool and let it dry. If your stool has a shiny finish, first use fine grit sandpaper to rough up the surface. 2. Print out the tomato stencil below to the desired size and cut out with a craft knife.

Lesson learned, always take phone with me even if I am only walking down to the garden.

I went down to the garden and pool to make sure the levels were good and to check out my vegetables. As I looked into the woods there stood a gorgeous caramel white tail. I walked along the wood line and she stayed about 25 yards away but walked in the same direction as me. I reached the edge of the garden and stood less than 50 feet from her. She just stood there broadside and stared at me for what seemed like 10 minutes. Then her daughter showed up and they continued on.

So I ran up to the house to get my phone in hopes that they would still be around. They were but as you can see my camera on my phone could not get in enough light as the sun set to get a picture of her.

If you are a good hunter or animal watcher you will see her.

Hint she is dead center and about 20 yards in the woods.

Can you see her?

Watch the video: Ghostly image caught on trap cam. what is it?

Ive been ghost hunting for many years now and am baffled over this vid, the quality is poor because its a cheep walmart trap cam set to motion trigger. as you may or may not know i hang with allot of the cast of ghost hunters and have shown this to them and they all agree it s not a cobweb or an insect of anykind, we even went and tried to recreate the vid using a silk worm and web in the same set up and could not reproduce the results.this is shot with cam sitting on a fence inside a grave in coventry ri, the reason it was set up this way was on a prior investigation of this site a few members would see an white image come out of the wood and then re-enter the woods in that location, so this inspired me to set this cam up in that direction. when i showed what i shot to the members that had seen the white image previously, they all agreed this is exacltley what they saw! i dont know what to make of it , but take note when the image appears it seems as if it is coming down stairs walk...

Portable Sawmills for the Homesteader
So you've moved out to the country and you're down on the farm/homestead - you've been clearing some of the standing trees to make your garden plot. You have read Essential Homesteading Tools, right? You've been splitting firewood - but goodness, some of those logs are just too straight and pretty to head for the wood burner. It's time to add a portable sawmill to your collection of homesteading tools...with a small mill you can harvest your own ...

Barn Window by Jeff Burton captures the charm and beauty of an old weathered barn commonplace in the Midwest. The missing and curling planks on the wall are evidence of the years of enduring what Mother Nature has thrown at them. The wonderful grain of the wood used in the barn construction is beautifully enhanced by the simple monochrome treatment.

In Progress - Becker Necker Scales (Handle)
Spent a little time tonight to trim down the tulipwood I'm using for the scales on my Becker Necker (BK-11).

I can't say that I'm doing this properly, I've made plenty of mistakes along the way. The next step is to trim down the wood at the hilt so that I can still use the factory sheath and sand it off. I got some brass rivets which I'll use once I got everything trimmed up.

Simple Ways to Start a Garden Journal « Extension Master Gardener
The rain broke long enough this afternoon for me to do a little gardening for about 90 minutes. The dogs were as delighted as I was to be outside for a change. I cut back a lot of the lady ferns that were blocking the paths, and pulled the sweet woodruff from the paths in the wood.

Watch the video: Finishing a Massive Claro Walnut Slab Table Live Edge

I typically watch the transformation of a piece of wood to a finished product alone, but I decided to share with all of you the beauty of this process. Finishing a Claro Walnut Live Edge Dining Table with Sam Maloof oil. Be sure to fill the pores of the tabletop as shown, using a 400 grit sheet on a random orbital sander. Then, buff the wood with a clean rag, followed by a second and final buffing with a new rag. Sanding the finish into the wood need only be done one time, the following coats can simply be rubbed on and rubbed off. Be sure that there is no finish left on the wood surface as it will become tacky and require a refinishing of the entire surface. Enjoy!

My new home darkroom (the old pantry, lol) is taking shape, albeit slowly. Just got to lightseal the door, put a light sealed back on the air vent, find a removable support leg for the left hand side of the hinged sehlf (2nd photo), remove all the dust from all the wood and drilling lol, and then buy some new processing chems, then I will be ready to process my own film and prints for the first time ever!!! Woooooo! (well except the 2 years I worked as a lab manager at Jessops, but that was all done by machine)
