However, it's not on par with the great episodes of previous seasons or even the 1st part of season 7. No flames please. It's just an opinion. I apologize for the long message. :) I needed to vent and Doctor Who lovers would be the ones to understand. I just finished watching it and I'm still steaming. heheheh I was disappointed. From the get go... The first few minutes of the episode spoiled the Clara mystery.... It became obvious she was all over the time stream... We just didn't know the origin... I was "noooooooo"... Then, they showed the warp/rip on the fabric of time/space... There were too many spoilers... I really felt like someone was trying to write something too clever but couldn't quite nail the dialogue, the timing or the rhythim. For me, this has been the worst season (the 2nd half). I'm sad at the direction they've taken the show. The episodes have been too random with the only linking thread being the Clara mystery which ended up not being much. It's not that the idea wasn't good but it was badly delivered. I wanted to feel the suspense but it just wasn't there. I had great hopes for the mystery. I has hoping for something on the level of Amy's bedroom rift. Or, her 1st episode. Well, each previous companion had greatness (with the possible exception of Marta but I digress...) and I love Jenna's and Matt's chemistry. She's ballistic and I can't help but love every moment of Jenna/Matt on screen.  Don't get me wrong. I love Matt and his Doctor. I just don't like the material they've been giving him. When he has good lines, he delivers tremendously. It sends shivers and you get glimpses at how awesome it can be and has been. :) That's what keep us coming. However, the writing has to improve. Matt deserves it. He deserves that the Doctor returns to greatness, with good dialogue, good arches and character development. We deserve it too. They've replaced the great timing/suspense with gimmicks. Remember the 9th episode with Eccleston (9th Doctor - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Empty_Child)? The WWII London? The silence on that episode creates suspence. The 9th one had the Bad Wolf. "The Doctor: Rose... before I go, I just want to tell you: you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And do you know what? Reinette? The lines... the dialogue. You can't help by FEEL in that episode. The 10th had the Daleks, the Cyberman, the 2 Universes, etc... Right after the regeneration. Absolutely lovely. You feel goosebumps from beginning to end and back again. Even though you're missing David. You can't help but love Matt. That's how good the writing and the actors nailed it. The 11th has had an awesome run with the Astronaut, The Silence, etc .... They're great and we love the show. But please.... Writers? HELP THE ACTORS. We need great writing back. Better storytelling. They deserve it and we do too. I want the goosebumps back. :) It's me hoping for a great November episode. I really really really wanna love +John Hurt  not-Doctor-that-is-the-Doctor-secret. BBC? WE LOVE THE SHOW.
