I never could tell the difference between it or an arm, an elbow, or a fingernail, because, it's just an appendage to me like everything else, body parts. Hands, feet, belly button... they all look strange to me upon close inspection.     Three times I took my life. It is easy for me to recount the details because it wasn't as feeble as people think it was. It took a lot out of me to prepare for death. You can count it with each breath now cause that's how easy it is for me to look back and not care.     One.   Two.   Three.   Exhale and smile. That's what I do. I learned that smiling decieves people in thinking that I am this exterior of skin meshed together to formulate some humanistic expression that you could read.     The first time I tried I didn't even have to prepare. For months the thought lingered on my mind... It was just a passing stream of unconsciousness, wanting to depart. All I knew was that I wanted to break the link between man, god, earth, love and everything in between. I didn't even have to think or planned for it. I went out drank that night. Coked up and happily fused with my anger; I joked and laughed the night away not knowing what was to happen later that night,because you see... I wasn't angry. I didn't even know I was feeling anything. I didn't even know I was crying for a long time because I wore that fucking smile all my life and thought I was just being me the one you know or didn't know because you weren't around. I had no comprehension of what my condition was. I never knew what that feel was. I went home and called my ex to ask her why... but the why was just a general question because I didn't know what to ask because I didn't know what I was feeling. I blacked out several times that night alone in my apartment. All I remember was moments when I came to; I was texting her angrily about god knows what. I blacked out... woke up again moments later, cellphone in my hand. I realized my texts were just randomn letters, a bottle of xanax was on my nightstand staring at me. I blacked out again, came to and out of nowhere picked the bottle up and took a handful realizing that I did the same thing perhaps earlier because I felt deja vu. I blacked out yet another time, saw the bottle half empty and took another drink from it and washed the pills down with beer. Shit, I didn't even know I was drinking.  At that precise moment I realized/remembered I was committing suicide and I forgot why I did it but I decided if I already went that far I might as well finish it. I layed down drowsed and confused as to why I even did it in the first place. I repeated until I almost depleted my supply of xanax's. I thought, finally I can sleep like a child again. I can crawl back into the infinite begginings.   I woke up in the hospital with my arms scratched (I was told I struggled with the team of doctors, law enforcement and nurses that I had to be restrained with arm straps and sedated ) an I.V. needle was in my arm cooling my veins. I saw my ex there sitting next to me on the bed and for some reason I jerked up off the bed, I have no idea why I screamed out Fuck You to her but I was angry... I don't know why. I blacked out again and fell back asleep. She later told me someone in the other room was yelling rude comments to me. I suppose that was why I was angry. I don't know. There is a memory block here.     I woke up again and the nurse was by my bedside. She gave me some food. I don't know how long I was there. My ex was still sitting next to me on her cell phone. We made some conversation. She said I was there for a few days. I made a phone call to my friend to come get me out. Prison break, Andy, remember. I didn't know why but I felt an urgency to escape. I needed to run. I yanked the needle out of my arm and i got up. She tried to stop me but I had to go. A voice in my head said everybody runs. I left the room in my hospital gown, walked right out to the hallways; the nurse just looked at me from the reception area, down the elevator and walked out the door, strutted back home to my apartment a few blocks away. I got dressed and called one of my friend to pick me up and take me out. I needed a drink real bad. He came immediately. I needed a drink and he was happy to obliged. When I got to Raw Ocean, we sat at the bar. We had a crink. I mingled with the patrons. We talked a bit and then, I was intercepted by a call from you and him. You guys came and took me away. That night you guys stopped me from drinking and put me to bed. I don't remember much of what happened after that night. My memory started to get all wonky.
