Now, the count down begins. The stretch run to see who wins the NFC East, my Eagles vs the Cowpukes. Here's Reuban Franks 10 observations from yesterday's game.

On a day where the Eagles won by 19 points even though it never seemed like they played very well, here’s 10 Instant Observations on the Eagles’ 43-24 win at the Linc over a terrible Titans team that still found a way to keep this game too close for comfort for most of the first half.

1. The Eagles escaped against a bad team Sunday at home, but these Mark Sanchez turnovers are really getting disturbing. Two more interceptions Sunday makes eight turnovers in less than four games for Sanchez, and the combination of a lack of accuracy and poor decision making is not a good one and just makes you doubt the Eagles’ ability to beat good teams. If Nick Foles can somehow get back healthy behind an offensive line that’s now relatively intact and a running game that’s gaining traction, the Eagles can be a dangerous team in January. With Sanchez playing like this, I just don’t like their chances against a capable defense. He’s an OK backup to get you through a game or two but not half a season. When I watch Foles, I feel like the turnovers will eventually stop. When I watch Sanchez, I feel like they won’t.

2. I spent all week telling anybody who’d listen that LeSean McCoy was fine, and the running game’s issues had nothing to do with him losing a step. He sure looked like the Shady of old Sunday, didn’t he? Twenty-one carries for 130 yards and a touchdown. Over the last seven weeks, McCoy is averaging 95 yards and 4.5 yards per carry. That’s legit production. The Shady of old? You got him.

3. OK, the Eagles allowed 24 points to a team averaging 16.8 points per game with a rookie making his fourth career start on the road during a short week. That can’t happen. It’s one thing when Aaron Rodgers is torching you. But for this secondary to let an inexperienced rookie sixth-round pick who’s never won a game come into your stadium and throw the ball up and down the field for 345 yards and two TD passes and engineer three touchdown drives … it’s simply unacceptable. This is just a terrible secondary.

4. Can’t say enough how impressive Connor Barwin has been. He makes plays no Eagles outside linebacker has made since William Thomas was in his heyday. And that was 20 years ago. Two more sacks for Barwin Sunday, which gives him 12½ in 11 games. Only three Eagles have more sacks in an entire season since the days of Reggie and Clyde — William Fuller twice, Hugh once and Babin once. Barwin is such a playmaker on a defense that doesn’t have many. He’s your defensive MVP.

5. In the span of one quarter, we saw the positives and negatives of Josh Huff. He had an electrifying 107-yard kickoff return, the longest play in Eagles history, and then foolishly tried to pick a fight with a couple Titans after the cheap shot on Brad Smith, and we saw Chris Polk returning kicks the rest of the day. Huff is a talented kid. A tough, fast, physical receiver with terrific skills with the ball in his hands. He’s just got a little growing up to do.

6. A shame the Eagles couldn’t get Jordan Matthews 23 more yards, so he could have become the fifth rookie since 1960 with three consecutive 100-yard games. But in the big picture, he’s looking more and more like a real star. With his feel for playing in space, his toughness, size and more-than-adequate speed, he’s the perfect slot guy and a really tough matchup for safeties and linebackers. He actually needs to average only 73 yards per game the rest of the way to reach 1,000. I think he might do it. As disappointing as the first-round pick has been, the second-round pick has been tremendous.

7. Andrew Gardner really made a big difference Sunday at right guard. He’s no All-Pro, but he’s a savvy veteran and sure seems to be a significant upgrade over Matt Tobin, who was really struggling at right guard since moving from left guard to replace Todd Herremans. I’d be surprised if Gardner doesn’t stay at right guard moving forward.

8. How about a shout-out to Cody Parkey, who did miss a 49-yarder but made five of six attempts, including a 50-yarder that made him the first Eagle in franchise history with four 50-yard field goals in a season. Even with the miss, Parkey is 23 for 25 on field goal attempts this year, which is phenomenal. To think the Eagles got this guy for nothing a few days before the season. What a find he’s been.

9. The Eagles have now won five straight games following a loss, and that speaks volumes about Chip Kelly’s ability to keep his team focused on the moment and not looking back or looking forward. That’s 20 straight games without consecutive losses, and that’s impressive.

10. There’ll be a lot of negative things said about the Eagles over the next few days — some of them from me and most of them fair — but it is important to take a step back and remember this team is 8-3, and there only two teams in the NFL with more wins. The next three games are going to be a huge challenge, but so far the Eagles have found ways to win most of their games under Kelly. They’re 18-9 under Kelly, 15-4 in their last 19 games. Maybe they’ll keep finding ways to overcome shaky quarterback play, an abominable secondary and an injury-battered offensive line.

THE APPETIZER BEFORE THE ENTREE
The +Philadelphia Eagles crush the +Tennessee Titans 43-24 and to start the game, Chris Polk gets a 107 yard kickoff return TD, the longest in franchise history! And now we have the Cowgirls to face on Turkey Day! Tied or on top of the NFC East, we should dominant!
