Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road?
SARAH PALIN: The chicken crossed the road because, gosh-darn it, he's a maverick!
BARACK OBAMA: Let me be perfectly clear, if the chickens like their eggs they can keep their eggs. No chicken will be required to cross the road to surrender her eggs. Period.
JOHN McCAIN: My friends, the chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.
HILLARY CLINTON: What difference at this point does it make why the chicken crossed the road.
GEORGE W. BUSH: We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road or not. The chicken is either with us or against us. There is no middle ground here.
DICK CHENEY: Where's my gun?
BILL CLINTON: I did not cross the road with that chicken.
AL GORE: I invented the chicken.
JOHN KERRY: Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the chicken's intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it.
AL SHARPTON: Why are all the chickens white?
DR. PHIL: The problem we have here is that this chicken won't realize that he must first deal with the problem on this side of the road before it goes after the problem on the other side of the road. What we need to do is help him realize how stupid he is acting by not taking on his current problems before adding any new problems.
OPRAH: Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems, which is why he wants to cross the road so badly. So instead of having the chicken learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life, I'm going to give this chicken a NEW CAR so that he can just drive across the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens.
ANDERSON COOPER: We have reason to believe there is a chicken, but we have not yet been allowed to have access to the other side of the road.
NANCY GRACE: That chicken crossed the road because he's guilty! You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks.
PAT BUCHANAN: To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.
MARTHA STEWART: No one called me to warn me which way the chicken was going. I had a standing order at the Farmer's Market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information.
DR SEUSS: Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes, the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed I've not been told.
ERNEST HEMINGWAY: To die in the rain, alone.
GRANDPA: In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough for us.
BARBARA WALTERS: Isn't that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time, the heart warming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish it's lifelong dream of crossing the road.
ARISTOTLE: It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.
BILL GATES: I have just released eChicken2014, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents and balance your checkbook. Internet Explorer is an integral part of eChicken2014. This new platform is much more stable and will never reboot.
ALBERT EINSTEIN: Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken?
COLONEL SANDERS: Did I miss one?

Thank you “New York Times” for updating and vetting my posts. Thank you for keeping the following selection of 12 of my posts visible in line on your site. These selected posts as sequentially copy and pasted below are a representation of your news priorities and your news agenda more than they are a representation of me. Regardless you have picked the some of my best and obscure posts and my top post#12 here,  the "9 Trillion missing form Federal Reserve congressional hearing". I am endlessly amazed at how accurately these post pick-ups are in showing the different and specific interests and concerns of people, organizations and news agencies around the world. The following posts are number below as they are currently showing in line today on the New York Times Google+ site as I see it form my circles. Thank you for continuing to update and rotate my posts from day to day, week to week and month to month on your site. To my surprise some of these posts have shown consistently and some of them have been recycled and reposted on your page. The double posting of #2 and #3 below is an anomaly that I do not fully understand as that is new as of this week. But as they say in N.Y. all publicity is good publicity. Post #5 as a selection is interesting as well. If a post ends with (…………) the post has been shortened for this compilation post. To read the entire abbreviated post just copy/paste the first sentence into the Google+ search window to read the entire post.

“The White House” Thank you for finding interest in my posts and for picking up 6 of my posts yesterday as found in search of your site from you with hundreds of posts pick ups from me. It is quite a compliment that after 5000 postings, starting before the last election, you are finding my posts as thought provoking enough to merit posting on your site. It is my privilege as an American to contribute my opinions to the current political discourse. These posts are fast written and are filled with typos, errors, missing words and at times the wrong word quickly spell checked into these posts. They were never intended to be grammatically perfect as the intention behind them is to stimulate critical thought and analysis. Thank you for your selection process and vetting prioritization of my posts by picking posts of interest that you consider note worthy. These sentiments, of reasoned thought in conflict with bureaucratic processes and more are found in my self-published book with CreateSpace “The Carpenters Bench” by Joe Carpenter available as a Kindle E Book on Amazon. My next book “Grasshopper Praying Mantis” manuscript work in progress is a philosophical work that goes far beyond the Micro world of “The Carpenters Bench” to delve into so very much more in the Macro.

The Following is a compilation post. For brevity only a portion of the longer posts will be numbered and showing below. To find the original posts copy/paste the first sentence or paragraph of the abbreviated post in to the Google+ search engine and it will pull up related Internet references showing the entire post. There are several long compilation posts that have been picked up consistently by news agencies, organizations and individuals globally here in this compilation post. Abbreviated posts will end with a series of periods (………..).

Amazing: "New York Times" updates it page reviving, retrieving and refreshing the most obscure of all of my old posts from Joe Carpenter author of "The Carpenters Bench" self published on Create Space on Amazon and available as a Kindle E book. Book Reviews Wanted and Welcome. Back on  line again, back in the stream, back in the game, as I will take this bone an run with it like a starved German Shepard after a piece of Time Squire Pizza. What is with that? Why is N.Y. pizza the best pizza in the hole wide world? Is it that tough to make a good slice of pizza? Apparently so:

Same with making sense as I listen to a Guest Host/Caller conversation on the Dennis Miller show where a caller thinks its Ok for a 12 year old biological boy to use the girls locker room because he thinks in his mind, he has the right to impose his confusion on all the girls in there that don't have identity issues and force all of them into a forced position of  tolerating, accepting, understanding and or enabling  his personal problems that may or may not yet be a permanent psychological cross gender identification issue. Apparently so:

Same with clearly seeing Mrs Clinton and Mr Clinton as not being role models because of their sexual proclivities, permissiveness and enabling behavior patterns for political gain.

P.S. My carpenter buddy is on strike and refuses to work on the new shower house, 95% finished, until I call/email my Mexican lawyer and check on my 99 year lease, on my house down there, that I personally built, as it was supposed to be paid for 3 years in advance. Yesterday and the day before I answered the phone for the first time in 3 or 4 months, checked tex messages, and returned calls and messages. I ran an add on Craig's list to sell my 2003 Monty Carlo. Now all I have to do is check my email and confirm all is Ok with my property down there. I actually called several times and retrieved a message  from the Health Department telling me "no" we/you  can not sell live crabs at the fair grounds swap meet. Tons of live crabs and no easy way to sell them aside from, for half value commercially. Try doing anything in todays world you literally have to have the mind and skill set of a lawyer. See you can work your whole life and have it all taken away because of a bank technicality that they would love to enforce as way of getting at your value added stuff. They are in the business of taking your house make no mistake of it. If we think its bad up here in the States you should see what is going on down there. The Fast and Furious monumental insanity of mind scandal was visible in Mexico as the Drug War down there was/is unspeakable in one big mess that not one in these back East News Rooms has any comprehension of. It is literally a war zone down there with conduct that is para-militay on one side and barbaric on the other. I should have bought land in Texas. Big Mistake. Now how am I supposed to sell it?

In my humble opinion it is one of the most important positions on the planet or maybe not, maybe it does not matter anymore as the damage has been done and  they just need to finish the job now by moving the world off the dollar, maybe they just need a figure head. There has been no discussion, no debate, no analysis, no nothing for the 35 years of my aware life. So who is she? Roger Hedgecok on talk radio today says she will make  Ben Bernanke look like a conservative. That is not a good sign. Printing fake money? Today no one showed up to buy US bonds. Only the Fed is buying the bonds with fake money. All I can say is 5000 postings later is in two an half years "Told You So". We are now entering the stage of economic destruction, decline and devaluation where we are almost at the point of exponential no return.

Thank you "New York Times" for picking up this post but not the other post that was picked up 4 times. That is my blogging issue as the conflict of interest in the media on the Federal Reserve Topic is more than just in the imaginations of obscure conspiracy theorists. That speaks volumes to me regardless if it is algorithm selected or vetted some how as found in search of your site," from you". Of all my 5000 postings this base post is on your site. It is no coincidence that this posting topic was for me also the most important of all posting topics as this issue is what drove me to blogging in rejection and residence to these dark side forces. Accidentally finding Albert Pike and his book "Morals and Dogma" in a used book store pushed me into this blogging thing, it was the last straw. Google Albert Pike satanic belief Morals and Dogma page number. (or variations of that search query)  It is all some how connected as these dark side beliefs go back over two thousand years to the days before Christ.

Aleister Crowley originally shared:

Aleister Crowley (/ˈkroʊli/; 12 October 1875 – 1 December 1947), born Edward Alexander Crowley, was an English occultist, ceremonial magician, poet, and mountaineer, who was responsible for founding the religion of Thelema. In his role as the founder of the Thelemite philosophy, he came to see himself as the prophet who was entrusted with informing humanity that it was entering the new Aeon of Horus in the early 20th century.
Born to a wealthy evangelical Christian family, Crowley rejected this faith to embrace an interest in western esotericism, poetry, and mountaineering. He was educated at Cambridge University, and some biographers have argued that here he was recruited as a spy for British intelligence, a role they allege he maintained throughout his life. In 1898 he joined the esoteric Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, before moving to Boleskine House by Loch Ness, and travelling to India to study Hindu and Buddhist practices. After marrying Rose Edith Kelly, in 1904 they travelled to Cairo, Egypt, where Crowley claimed to have been contacted by a supernatural entity named Aiwass, who provided him with The Book of the Law, a sacred text that served as the basis for Thelema…………….. Will you fight and die for Obama? Are you hypocrite enough? Will you fight and die for Mrs. Clinton aka: Hillery? Have you lost your mind? The condom coalition of nuts and fruits with their character assignations of off subject, off topic, off planet, shout down reductions to identity politics, that give free rides to obnoxious, loud,  bra burning, drunk women in mini skirts, run into an unimpressed Russian President.

Oooops Now what are these chicken feed, back stabbing, mind gamers, going to do, with an outsider willing to call them liars to their faces in front of the Global News cameras. Perhaps if the American media of enabling wanna bees would not have created this monster, it/they would not think that everyone is stupid. Well China no Stupid and Russia is certainly not stupid, so who is he idiot in the room now? "Told You So" When the day comes that US citizens are reaching out to news agencies in China, Russia and India to report on US issues or give US congressmen a Pro Bono intelligence briefing on the Middle East from the KGB over the FBI or the CIA,  we may have a credibility problem at home already. Beavis and Butt-Head make  All Sharpen and Jessy Jackson look like geniuses along with Chris Matthews and most of the Media arm of the Democratic Socialist Party, for that matter of fact, we should include the Old Rhino stampede of feckless fools.

This is why it matters Mrs Clinton. This is how a delusional, desperate, bogus video story before an election that disrespects an entire nation, to win an election on lies, damages a countries credibility in the eyes of its citizens and in the eyes of the world. Benghazi and Fast and Furious shows how you people think, falsely believe and act and Putin knows it too. I know, Rush Limbaugh's got it, Putin is just a bigot, homoophobe and a racist, thats what it is. Try that load of garbage on him and see if it works. Get your neuroses on a leash children that game is not going to fly in Russia. If it was not so pathetic and so disgracefully real life stranger than fiction I think I would just laugh out loud. President Obama could lose big on Syria in House As things currently stand, Obama's going to lose big in Congress. Several Republican leadership aides, who are counting votes but not encouraging a position, say that there are roughly one to two dozen “yes” votes in favor of military action at this time. The stunningly low number is expected to grow a bit. But senior aides say they expect, at most, between 50 and 60 Republicans to vote w...

Thank you "New York Times" for picking up this post and having it visible in line on your site for people to read. I am endlessly surprised at what posts of mine you pick up. This is an American Hero and Supreme Court Justice John Roberts is an intellectual idiot that should be ridiculed as a fool along with any judge that thinks such total stupid stuff and then acts on that stupidly to the detriment of the country.

These people have taken the legalese to a point of logical extrapolation that it has become an "argumentum ad absurdum". These people believe that the mental extrapolations of perfect logic and reason that exists only in the etherial, hypothetical, open realms of their mind and imagination is the causal driver of the physical world in a legalistic thinking gone inverted. It is the same logic and reasoning that would have these people place their intellectual reasoning, theories, rules and laws onto a falling rock, saying it will never hit the ground because it is impossible to ever get closer than the half way point C beaten point A and point B.(Zeno's Paradox)  The reasoning is sound but the outcome is fallacious and wrong because there is nothing wrong with the falling rock, but there is something wrong with how we think about the falling rock and how some people make laws to describe how the falling rock will and must fall.

There is nothing wrong with our US Constitution but there is some thing wrong with how Supreme Court Justice John Roberts thinks about the US  Constitution, that is the problem. The only way to get these judges to think clearly about our US Constitution is to tell them when we do not believe that they are thinking clearly and that they are seriously confused, wrong and inaccurate in their conclusions as put forth in the precedence of law. Bad laws need to be repealed and corrected. Judges that make mistakes and legal errors, bad decisions and enforce or set bad precedence need to be challenged and removed from those positions of responsibility and authority as bad judges.

Judge Richard Leon is behaving like a good judge that is still thinking clearly. Excellent work here. There are still some Americans left in America. It really must be that unusual.

Reductio ad absurdum
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

Reductio ad absurdum (Latin: "reduction to absurdity"), also known as argumentum ad absurdum (Latin: argument to absurdity), is a common form of argument which seeks to demonstrate that a statement is true by showing that a false, untenable, or absurd result follows from its denial,[1] or in turn to demonstrate that a statement is false by showing that a false, untenable, or absurd result follows from its acceptance. First appearing in classical Greek philosophy (the Latin term derives from the Greek "εις άτοπον απαγωγή" or eis atopon apagoge, "reduction to the impossible", for example in Aristotle's Prior Analytics),[1] this technique has been used throughout history in both formal mathematical and philosophical reasoning, as well as informal debate.

The "absurd" conclusion of a reductio ad absurdum argument can take a range of forms:

Rocks have weight, otherwise we would see them floating in the air.
Society must have laws, otherwise there would be chaos.
There is no smallest positive rational number, because if there were, it could be divided by two to get a smaller one.

The first example above argues that the denial of the assertion would have a ridiculous result, against the evidence of our senses. The second argues that the denial would have an untenable result: unacceptable, unworkable or unpleasant for society. The third is a mathematical proof by contradiction, arguing that the denial of the assertion would result in a logical contradiction (there is a smallest rational number and yet there is a rational number smaller than it).

Greek philosophy

This technique is used throughout Greek philosophy, beginning with Presocratic philosophers. The earliest Greek example of a reductio argument is supposedly in fragments of a satirical poem attributed to Xenophanes of Colophon (c.570 – c.475 BC).[2] Criticizing Homer's attribution of human faults to the Greek gods, he says that humans also believe that the gods' bodies have human form. But if horses and oxen could draw, they would draw the gods with horse and oxen bodies. The gods can't have both forms, so this is a contradiction. Therefore the attribution of other human characteristics to the gods, such as human faults, is also false.

The earlier dialogs of Plato (424 – 348 BC), relating the debates of his teacher Socrates, raised the use of reductio arguments to a formal dialectical method, now called the Socratic method.[3][4] Typically Socrates' opponent would make an innocuous claim, then Socrates by a step-by-step train of reasoning, bringing in other background assumptions, would make the person admit that the assertion resulted in an absurd or contradictory conclusion, forcing him to abandon his assertion. The technique was also a focus of the work of Aristotle (384 – 322 BC).[4]
The principle of non-contradiction

Aristotle clarified the connection between contradiction and falsity in his principle of non-contradiction.[4] This states that an assertion cannot be both true and false. Therefore if the contradiction of an assertion (not-P) can be derived logically from the assertion (P) it can be concluded that a false assumption has been used. This technique, called proof by contradiction has formed the basis of reductio ad absurdum arguments in formal fields like logic and mathematics.[4]

The principle of non-contradiction has seemed absolutely undeniable to most philosophers.[4] However a few philosophers such as Heraclitus and Hegel have accepted contradictions. The discovery of contradictions at the foundations of mathematics at the beginning of the 20th century, such as Russell's paradox, have led a few philosophers such as Graham Priest to reject the principle of non-contradiction, giving rise to theories such as dialethism and paraconsistent logic which accept that some statements can be both true and false.[4]
Straw Man argument

A false argument similar to reductio ad absurdum often seen in polemical debate is the straw man logical fallacy.[5][6] A straw man argument attempts to refute a given proposition by showing that a slightly different or inaccurate form of the proposition (the "straw man") has an absurd, unpleasant, or ridiculous consequence, relying on the audience not to notice that the argument does not actually apply to the original proposition. For example, in a 1977 appeal of a U.S. bank robbery conviction, a prosecuting attorney said in his closing argument[7]

I submit to you that if you can't take this evidence and find these defendants guilty on this evidence then we might as well open all the banks and say, 'Come on and get the money, boys', because we'll never be able to convict them.

The prosecutor was tacitly equating the failure to convict the defendants in one particular trial with the inability to convict any bank robbers, a situation with self-evident unpleasant consequences but very little connection with the outcome of the trial.

Todays Google News Priorities seems awkward to me as I see it on my screen. I would think Chemical Weapons of Mass Destruction, used on civilians would be the top story considering we had a war over that issue. It is possible that news screens will be soon tailored to individual users for all kinds of reasons like all search engines do every day in every way. The order of news posts, that alone could be mass marketed and sold to political parties to help diminish or to charge topics/issues  of supporters and opponents a like. This business model/idea if not being implemented could become a financial Gold Mine for targeted internet groups and users just like the IRS targeting of people of a specific political persecutive. Once this system becomes compromised and tailored discerning propaganda from general news will become more and more suspect/difficult.

And Mrs Clinton thinks she is Presidential Material: Why not her husband is a chronic hustler and so was her last current boss, in a different way. From her world view it all about the media presentation of her story and his story, reality simple does not count. Its all about what you say is not what really is. Her husband is famous for his deep intellectual philosophy of, "It all depends on what the meaning of the word is, is". Did someone write a Poo book fairy tail  using that line yet? I watched a 65 year old man, the other morning tell a 10 year old, for the first time, the story of the Emperor is wearing no clothes, with expressions and different character voices. It was a theatric experience. Having no children of my own it was a wonderful moment in time. Never underestimate the stupidity of the American public. I always was uncomfortable with that expression but not lately. So who was on the wrong side of History on this one the current administration or Sean Hannity? Mrs Clinton what a bad  joke.

Not a joke, The New York Times reports that “kickbacks and bribes” are legal now in Obamacare
By Nick Sorrentino on November 8, 2013

As I read this article my brow just became more furrowed. So now bribes are cool according to Kathleen Sebelius?

They can’t get the website right. The president lied to the American people about whether they’d lose their health coverage. Billions in subsidies are soon to flow to the Big 5 health insurers directly from the pockets of taxpayers. And now HHS has ruled that kickbacks are a perfectly reasonable form of business in the context of Obamacare?

So this is where we are now?

Repeal? This law should be tossed into the dustbin of history along with the multitude of other half baked centralized planning schemes and burned.

(From The New York Times)

The surprise decision, disclosed last week, exempts subsidized health insurance from a law that bans rebates, kickbacks, bribes and certain other financial arrangements in federal health programs, stripping law enforcement of a powerful tool used to fight fraud in other health care programs, like Medicare…

…Generally, the law makes it a crime to pay or receive anything of value in return for the referral of patients or as an inducement for people to buy goods and services reimbursed by federal health care programs. Such programs are defined broadly as “any plan or program that provides health benefits, whether directly, through insurance, or otherwise, which is funded directly, in whole or in part, by the United States government.”

“The secretary’s decision will have some very significant consequences,” said D. McCarty Thornton, former chief counsel to the inspector general at the Health and Human Services Department. “The federal anti-kickback statute will, in most cases, not apply to subsidized health plans or the items and services furnished by those plans.”

“Plans and providers are very happy to be relieved of that concern,”
