Governor Martin O'Malley, Lt. Governor Anthony Brown and Secretary Alvin Collins appreciate all that they have done for the State. In this picture, DGS's Sam Cook thanks employees and especially pointed out all of the hard work many of them did during the terrible snowstorms/blizzards of December 2009 and February 2010. DGS kept all State buildings open during these storms thanks to employees' hard work and dedication removing snow and clearing sidewalks and steps. This was especially important in Annapolis in February since the General Assembly Session was underway and legislators, Governor O'Malley, Lt. Governor Brown and constituents needed to gain access to the State House and committee rooms in the Senate and House Office Buildings. (Photo by Tom Nappi).

As you know, September 2005 marks the beginning of the 145th Anniversary of Diocesan Girls’ School. It also marks the commencement of operations of DGS as a Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) school.
To celebrate the well-cherished history and tradition of our School, we will be staging a 145th Anniversary Musical. The Musical involves hundreds of students from both the Junior and Senior Schools and captures memorable highlights of DGS history and education. For many of you, it will provide an opportunity to go back in time and recall the good old days. We look forward to welcoming all of you to the Musical, which will be presented at the Shatin Town Hall on 2nd and 3rd September 2005 at 7:45 pm and on 4th September 2005 at 2:45 pm.
