DBS 6439 komt aan bij de CT 186 149 + 186 142 met de sleep beladen met kolen - na een kort gesprek tussen de 2 Mcn vertrok de loc richting Driebergen. Tja, wat moet 1 6400 nu uitrichten met zo een trein ??? Later begrepen we dat ook de DBS 6461 uit Amersfoort onderweg was naar deze locatie, die hebben wij hier niet meer voorbij zien komen. English Thursday 3rd of Januari 2013 The driver was busy trying to get the Locs moving again. A tow-away loc was on its way from Utrecht. DBS 6439 arrives at CT 186 149 + 186 142 with 44 wagons Falns loaded with coals - after a short conversation the loc drove on in direction Driebergen. What can one 6400 Dloc accomplish with such a large and heavy train, we where blessed with ignorence ;) Later we found out that another tow-away Dloc 6461 from Amersfoort was making its way to this train .... we never saw it passing at this point. CT 6603 (Class 66) passes former station Soestduinen with a decent bunch of wagons loaded with Hoyer tanktainers on its way from Diepholz (Germany) to Antwerpen (Belgium). De ITL 185 die tractie geleverd heeft op het Duitse gedeelte wordt voor het gemak in opzending meegenomen - zodoende is dit 1 van de weinige keren dat er een Traxx 185 op het Nederlandse net te zien is. CT 186 142 komt met ITL 185 519 in opzending met de PCC-Shuttle uit Kutno langs Teuge op weg naar de Rotterdamse havens. English Friday 4th of May 2012 Maintenance works are carried out on the Emmerich corridor so all cargo trains from/to Germany are routed by Venlo or Bad Bentheim. The PCC-Shuttle from Kutno (P) is routed via Bad Bentheim to the Rotterdam Harbours. On Polish/German ground the traction is delivered by a Traxx Class 185 - the 185 is taken into the Netherlands to make things easier. This is not the first time a Traxx 185 is taken under Dutch wires but special it is - not working, it has no Dutch package !!! A batch of eight dual-door Optare Solo,s were purchased for the route, these are I believe the only dual-door of this type in the UK and will undoubtedly be amongst the last of the original Solos to hit the streets as this design has now been dropped in favour of the Solo SR. Here OS21 pauses for a minute for the photographer to get his shot. This driver was an extremely like-able chap who knew all his passengers & it was a pleasure to travel this route, so often in London going for a bus ride is more of an irritation than a pleasure, but not on this occassion. English From the lock there is a nice walking path through the Naardermeer to some bunkers. From there you can make some nice pictures of trains coming from Amsterdam. Snel gegokt dat men in het eerste pad naar Amsterdam CS zou vertrekken. Gelukkig bleek dit zo. We zien CT 189 094+7102 met trein 347721 (Awhv - Em) Amsterdam Westhaven verlaten opweg naar Emmerich. Het was nog erg passen en meten met de nieuwe portalen om alles er op te krijgen. Traktie leverancier was tot nu toe Locon, Captrain had vandaag de eer. English After DMU diesel power i went to Eempolders, between Baarn and Amersfoort, to fotograph a regular cargo train coming from Amersfoort. Nice surpise - a green V100 appears in the distance coming from Baarn, no - two V100s , more Diesel power ;)) CapTrain 103 + 102 (V100 Diesel) haul a fully loaded extra Coevorden container shuttle through the Eempolder on its way from Maasvlakte West (Rotterdam Harbours) to Coevorden. A pitty - sun out ;( Due to a problem in a lock in the Twente-canal near Eefde, container transport by ship from Hengelo is not possible. Therefor containers are transported on trucks by land to Coevorden and with extra cargo-shuttles to Rotterdam Harbours. Het nieuwe emplacement langs de Aziëhavenweg in de Houtrakpolder is hiervoor een ideale plek. We zien CT 2006 net weg rijden van een sleep lege VTG Falns'n om hierna met de andere 20 richting de Westhaven te gaan voor belading bij de OBA. Afgaand op de informatie heeft de 189 problemen gekregen (wou niet aan de gang onder DC), is de G2000 voor de trein gezet, het aantal wagens gehalveerd vanwege het totale gewicht, en het geheel toch op pad gestuurd. CT 2002 (Vossloh G2000), with CT 189 204 DIT, hauls 20 wagons filled with coals along Rumelaar to Möllen (D). The 189 gave trouble on Amsterdam Westhaven - would not run under DC power- so they switched it with the G2000. The number of wagons had to be halved due the total load (3800 tons) but could also be related to the wet weather - it was probably all a bit to much for one G2000. An optical slave might work whereas a wireless remote might get fried. You really need to do your homework unless you fancy writing off various cameras and trigger units due to not checking thoroughly. There are older optical slave units on ebay rated up to 100 volts but i havent tested them. If anybody has good or bad results from using these flashes with DSLRS , triggering them off etc please leave a comment so we know what works and what doesn't. Considering I was worked up about this since Monday, it went incredibly well. In the past I've had quite a lot of trouble with IV's (27 tries....) so I cried over this for two hours Monday night anticipating this day. When I got there I requested Byron, who did it last time and got it first try (after other people tried missed about 4 times) and he got it first try. It was such a relief, it didn't even hurt. It was so nice to go to the janeway today, and just see everybody again. I seen my 2nd daddy Barry, and he told me he always looks at my pictures. Then I seen Bev and Denise at J4 and they said the exact same thing, and Bev told me I HAVE to go do photography when I'm out of high school. Little things like that make me so happy. I also seen Christine and Gale at Medical Daycare. Today was excellent.
