Steve Walsh : So let me ask the sane people, do you give credence to Senator Boxer's claim that carbon emissions is having a drastic effect on weather and climate change based on SCIENTIFIC research OR do you believe the Republicans who, of course are now trying to do damage control, who state the exact opposite. Global warming and climate change are a myth and we have not damaged with environment. Daniel Killpartrick seems to think Boxer is nuts and so does his cohorts who think the polar caps are not melting and tornadoes "just happen". Of course they do but look at the increase in strength and frequency. Look at the Northeast where we have days in the 70s in December and then multiple blizzards and ice storms the next month. My sister is the scientist but Jesus, Mary and Joseph...some people are poster children for euthenasia

Support Travis Alexander's Family : It's been an emotional day everywhere. I know everyone is upset over JA's statement, over the judge lifting the ban on JA doing tv interviews, over the jury not reaching their decision tonight .... but I am going to say what I have said many times before do NOT waste your energy venting about it anymore. It isn't going to change a thing. Turn off your tv or turn the channel from the trial stuff.

There are SO many people, including many of our own family members on the page, who are affected by the horrific tragedy in Oklahoma. We went through Boston and Texas together. I will always fight to protect your Second Amendment rights. Which is why the first bill I introduced in Congress was HR 133, the Citizens Protection Act of 2013, to repeal Gun-Free school zones.

Here’s what I believe concerning the Second Amendment: The Right to Keep and Bear Arms is not principally about hunting or recreation.

In fact, the Second Amendment to our Constitution is our Founding Fathers’ restatement of our natural God-given right to defend life, liberty, and property.

I’m a decade-long concealed carry permit holder and Class III firearms collector.

When I was twelve years old, my father bought me my first gun, an H&R .410 shotgun. In the course of hunting in the woods of Kentucky, he taught me the great responsibility that comes with ownership of a firearm.

Now that I am a father of four, I enjoy teaching these same lessons to my children through hunting and target practice.

Though I may not be your U.S. Represenative in the House, I pledge to fight against ALL attempts to restrict the Second Amendment rights of ALL Americans.

Corbin Bernsen : In light of the horrific events in Oklahoma today, I will refrain from posting thoughts about my mom. Her passing is suddenly put in a new light and staggering perspective. She would slap me silly if I gave one more sentence to her.

So instead we pray for those whose lives have been torn apart, children, sweet young children taken too soon from this life. And their families who's anguish I can't even begin to imagine. I pray that somehow, pulling on the greatest reserves of their faith that they somehow do not allow the light to completely extinguish. It is in that light they will find a path to the future. I do know this, and I will give my mom a moment here, that when those children arrive home and find their place in the great mystery, my mom will be there, along with others, arms opened wide, ready to smoother them with her love. I know that love. The residual pain will be ours, here on earth, left trying to make sense of it all. I pray for the families, the responders and those in the community who will have the hard task of rebuilding lives.
Please take a moment with me, tonight, and send the same love you sent to me during my mom's final journey to all those hurting tonight.

Amy Klobuchar : Following up on my letter, I spoke with refineries and oil companies today about getting more fuel to Minnesota during refinery maintenance shutdown. Prices are still outrageous. This week I am focused on the short term issue of more fuel in MN to bring down prices, but in the long term we need a more coordinated maintenance schedule. Innocent people shouldn't be hurt by decisions made in Indiana and Illinois.

Matt Walsh : People are criticizing Obama today because he forced a Marine to stand there in Dress Blues and hold his umbrella for him during a press conference.

I've heard Obama supporters react with exasperation at the criticism. "Give the guy a break", they insist. Well, look, I'd love to, but can the guy take a break from being an elitist snob? Seriously, can he take like 2 or 3 hours off? Can he be a normal human being for even a small period of time? You're out there to answer questions about corruption, treachery and deception, and you decide it would be wise to do so while you use a Marine like your own personal butler? What's next? Are you going to have Navy SEALS fly in to shine your shoes? Does an Army Ranger fluff your pillow for you every night? I mean, seriously dude, you can't just hold your own damn umbrella? NOBODY in Obama's circle stopped him before he went out there and said "Hey, Mr. President, there's sort of this impression everyone has that you're an aloof, petty, arrogant despot, so maybe now's the exactly wrong time to publicly utilize a member of the armed forces as your servant." Of course they didn't say that. He surrounds himself with cowardly sycophants because he's a thin skinned oligarch.

There is no amount of criticism that is inappropriate. He's just horrible. There's nothing to like. Really, I looked, I can't find one single positive trait. He is the physical manifestation of everything that is wrong with American politics. So is it petty to go after the guy for forcing a Marine to hold his umbrella so he didn't get moist during a press conference? Perhaps. But forcing a Marine to hold your umbrella so you don't get most during a press conference is even pettier. Maybe if he'd just be a man for a change, we wouldn't get to this point.

Tripp Halstead Updates : Stacy: Tripp is doing great. He is sound asleep with no arching and a perfect heart rate. Since I got zero sleep last night, mom is staying with him and I am getting to bed before midnight. ( maybe before 11, woo hooo) Thank you mom! I pray he has a great night. The Sunday Express reports that it’s so difficult to find a dentist who’ll accept patients under the National Health Service that up to a third of Britons no longer have an NHS dentist. It’s led to a surge of people buying do-it-yourself dentist kits, so that they can glue down their own loose fillings and even pull their own teeth. And why is it so hard to find a dentist? The government says they have to provide care free or below cost. But dentists say the government has slashed reimbursements until it’s not worth their while to provide expensive dental services. But don’t worry, that could never happen here…right?
