Lampasas High School 2003 Class Reunion : Hi Everyone:

I have a couple of bits of information to share with you all so that we can make the most of our 10 year class reunion. (Spring Ho Float/Decorating the Float/RSVPing to the Reunion)

-Karen and I are going to be getting together a Spring Ho float for our class to ride along in during the Parade the morning of our reunion July 13th. We are going to be decorating the night before, Friday, July 12th. Time and location are still pending. We are wanting to know: who would like to be in the parade, and who would like to decorate? We NEED numbers. Pepper has volunteered his flatbed trailer and Jim is going to be driving.

-Also I NEED numbers of who is coming to the reunion, so start RSVPing right away, so I can let our vendors know ASAP! Please EMAIL (kgoen@tarleton.edu) who is coming so I can accommodate spouses/significant others and children.

Finally, if you are wanting to watch the Spring Ho Parade with our class you can do so at Robert Gradel’s Law Office located at 107 East Second Street. Make sure to bring a folding chair and a covered dish.

NightLife Venue : The 2013 Chesaning Showboat Music Festival announces their schedule events to run from Friday, July 12th through Saturday, July 20th. The Festival will anchor with four nights of amphitheater entertainment!!! The festival will kick off with live entertainment in the River's Bend Hospitality Tent on Friday, July 12th, starting at 6 P.M. More "LIVE" entertainment continues on the Amphitheater Stage. Tickets are now on sale.

*Tuesday, July 16th - The The Charlie Daniels Band with special guest Kari Lynch Music.

*Wednesday, July 17th - Bret Michaels with Quiet Riot and Romance For Ransom.

*Thursday, July 18th - Theory of a Deadman with Puddle of Mudd, the LAST VEGAS and Bad Axis.

*Friday, July 19th - KC and the Sunshine Band with Global Village Band.

The Showboat Blues Fest concludes the live entertainment on Saturday, July 20th starting at noon in the River's Bend Hospitality Tent, featuring the Rusty Wright Band, Chris Canas Band, Motor City Josh, David Gerard and Sena Ehrhardt.

Additional activities include a Road Race, River Race, Car Show and Battle of the Bands on Saturday, July 13th, Pancake Breakfast, Showboat Parade and Praise in the Park Concert on Sunday, July 14th and Bike Run on Saturday, July 20th.

River's Bend Hospitality Tent admission is only $5 nightly, but is included with any main stage ticket. General Admission for each of the four Amphitheater show starts at $20 with reserved and VIP ticket packages available. Amphitheater show tickets are available at the showboat box office or at Star Tickets at www.startickets.com and River Bend's Hospitality admission is at the door. A complete schedule of events can be found on the Chesaning Showboat Website at www.chesaningshowboat.org.

Daniel Gaffey : Can you relate? While in the shower you guide the water like you're aquaman. You put water on your brush before you put toothpaste on. You put water on toothpaste before you brush. You avoid cracks in the sidewalk. You like even numbers. You laugh at stuff and others around you don't get it so you look dumb. You and your friends can say one word and crack up. When saying the our father at mass something itches but you're holding hands with someone and can't let go. You don't know what to do with your hands so you put them in your pockets. You hate it when your favorite song comes on as you're pulling into the driveway. When at a hotel you jump on the beds. While in an elevator you jump cuz it's fun to do. While driving you see a squirrel so you speed up. When your parents come home you flip to classic rock music instead of listening to your hardcore rap cause they think it's a bad influence on you. You stay away from home as long as possible cause you know your mom's gonna put you to work once you get back. You hate bike riders riding on the road, especially when they don't follow the rules and stop at a stop sign. You push the buttons on the top of your drink cups. You hate it when ur parents are totally serious about something you think is funny. When your out past 10, ur parents think you're doing the next project x when in actuality you're stopping at McDonald's for a Big Mac. Your parents call you the same time every day even though they know you are busy. Your parents threaten to cancel your phone service cause you don't answer it, but then you call them and they don't answer. You run like a mofo when you hear noises behind you at night cause it's Jason from Friday the 13th. And lastly, you check the fridge every 5 minutes thinking food will reappear

Mind, Body, and Sole : GAPS Cooking Weekend DC Metro! Would you be interested in attending this class if it were held in Davis County?

I talked with Monica yesterday. The class is typically held Friday night and all day Saturday but she wouldn't be able to do a week-end class until October time-frame.

However, she's going to be in the area on the 13th of July for a funeral and is willing to teach a class for us during the week, such as Tuesday night and all day Wednesday or Wednesday night and all day Thursday.

What we're trying to determine is if there's enough interest for a week-day class or if we should wait until the Fall and hold a week-end class. (Either way, she's coming to UTAH!) :)
