The Hobbit Fanpage : I would like to say I've been busy with Finals, or going to friends Graduations, (which I have gone to 2) but really the main reason I haven't been posting as much is because I've spent the last 2 entire weekends on the couch. Being on chemo: sucks: the very get up and go out of a person. Admin Gandalf knew I was an Active Chemo recipient when he chose me: and I am grateful he was willing to take a risk on me:
Tony Petrella : Kate Petrella posting here, repeating what I posted below. Sorry, but I've never used Facebook and don't know how to go about it properly. Tony's death was apparently cancer-related. He seemed to be on his way back to good health after several months of treatment for esophageal cancer, but an unforeseeable erosion in a chest artery caused unstoppable bleeding. I'm grateful that he had been able to return here to our house in Michigan before he died, and that he didn't linger for weeks or months. It's a terrible shock, and it's hard for me to believe he's gone. The caring help and messages I'm receiving from our friends and family and his clients and associates have been a great comfort to me. Thanks to all who are and will continue to be in touch. 7 hours ago - View -
Dear Beloved I have just found out that I am suffering from an Esophageal Cancer, and presently hospitalized. My doctor says I have a few months to live, and I desire to stay within the confinement of my hospital room and live out my last days on earth quietly.I decided to go make you my beneficiary as I do not have anyone I can trust so you can receive the Sum of £17,500,000.00 funds from where it is presently deposited and disburse the money to cancer research institutes, churches, orphanages home, handicaps, widows and widowers and other deserving charity organizations. Indicate your willingness to assist me by responding to this email firstname.lastname@example.org so I can provide you more details.

Lozz Venus Starseed II : Health Tips-Medical Advisor Journals-Home of Kyle J. Norton for Better of Living & Living... Phytochemicals in Foods to Prevent and Treat Cancers - Cancer of Esophagus/Esophageal cancer.
Can food intake help to prevent and treat cancers? Many studies have proven that they can because of certain phytochemicals, but for what ever reasons, there are either no clinical trials followed through or the studies can not make to stage of clinical trials. Do not expect the pharmaceutical or foods industrial companies to pay for the researches, as the discovery of the phytochemicals to cure cancers can only dampen the profits of both industries as phytochemicals can not be patented. 13 hours ago - View -

1. Calcium content in the ice cream is useful for maintaining bone density, preventing osteoporosis, cancer, and hypertension.
2. Highly nutritious and not fattening
Ice cream does contain fat, especially saturated fat. That caused a lot of people avoid for fear of being fat ice cream. In fact, the energy contribution of ice cream per serving (one cup) of only about 10% of total energy demand and contribution of fat around 15% of total daily fat requirement. They include a small amount, so the less fit when ice cream was accused as the culprit causing obesity.
3. Not Cause Colds
Ice cream is not the cause of cough and cold. Because, when it entered the mouth, ice cream will melt quickly. Ice cream melting rapidly accelerated by the influence of body temperature, so that when the ice cream into the esophageal temperature was not as cold as ice water.
4. Anti tumor and HIV
25% -30% content of ice cream is milk. Milk is composed of Lactoferrin, which has a role as agents of non-specific defenses against pathogens. Lactoferrin also has a Antiviral activity, particularly against cytomegalovirus, influenza, and HIV. 16 hours ago - View -

The past 15 years I have been participating in Relay for Life because my mom is an esophageal cancer survivor. Well now I participate because I am a SURVIVOR. In early 2012 I had two moles change in shape and size so I had them checked out. Well it turns out I should have never tanned with baby oil as a teenager. Had minor surgery with clear margins and have been cancer free since.
Did you know that ONE in THREE people will get cancer in their lifetime. That could be my husband, my brothers, or my mom (Cancer Survivor), or it may be your loved one. The point is, it WILL happen to someone's loved one - and that's not O.K. with me. So I am passionate about fighting back against cancer and raising funds so that it (CANCER) doesn't have the power it has today. I fight back by participating in Relay for Life and my Relay is right around the corner June 8th and 9th at Fullerton High School.
For 24 hours straight, someone from my team will be walking or running the track the entire time. Many people stay the entire night, including me. the entire event is moving and emotional - with people coming and going all hours of the day and night to do their part.

Dawn VanCuran-Althen : Prayers needed for Dad again, he went in the hospital the other day with acute esophageal issues. The tests show no abnormal issues with his esophagus. He will be placed on a permanent anti acid med and will be taken of Doxycycline as they think it is time for a change. He will need to make multiple trips to GI lab to work on swallowing therapy to assist him. He feels much better and is very talkative and wants to go home. He is still having difficulty keeping food down. They have only been trying liquids so my brother asked if they could try soft foods like a banana or toast. They are going to check with the Dr and try. They have ordered another GI study to check his systems to see if they might have missed something on the first test. He is stronger from the IV but is only 114 Lbs right now. So for now for an unknown reason his body is rejecting everything he drinks or eats.
Mom needs prayer as well as she has really been confused lately. One minute she is fine but the next she has had grand delusions. Yesterday she thought she was moving into a better place to live. She hardly remembers anything with Dad except he does not eat. Dad said she has been really bad sometimes when they are just home by themselves. They really just need to be in a home for their own good. Mom wants to try a nursing home if she can get approved but definitely thinks Dad needs to be in a nursing home. She is afraid to tell Dad this, so he just thinks it is my brother that thinks he needs nursing care 24x7. So major prayers needed that Dad will realize that this is best for the both of them. 1 day ago - View -

Susan G. Komen Mid-Missouri : The link between breast cancer and smoking is still under study. Some studies show that women who smoke before their first pregnancy may have higher risk of breast cancer, although the evidence is inconclusive. Even though breast cancer does not seem to be a primary byproduct of smoking, we should stop or never start smoking since smoking causes over 11 different types of cancer (including lung, kidney, colon and esophageal cancer) and is also a major contributor to heart disease, stroke, diabetes, emphysema and bronchitis. 1 day ago - View -
