Ray Comfort : It’s in the news at the moment that Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots, took a trip to Russia in 2005 to meet with Russian president Vladimir Putin. Kraft said he admired the leader and proudly showed him his Super Bowl XXXIX ring.

Putin took the 124 diamond-studded ring, tried it on his finger, and it was then putin his pocket. The New York Post reported on remarks made by Kraft, 72, at a New York awards gala Thursday: "I took out the ring and showed it to (Putin). And he put it on and he goes, 'I can kill someone with this ring,'" Kraft said, according to the New York Post. "I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out."

But Kraft should have known that that’s how atheistic communism works. You take from the rich, kill them, and put what you took in your pocket. Russia may have changed since the end of the cold war, but Putin hasn’t. A committed atheist has no moral government other than what his government says is moral…and he is the government.

Kraft will probably get along okay without the ring. He is worth 2.3 billion dollars.

It’s called the Religious Liberty Amendment. It would protect the religious rights of soldiers, including evangelical Christian who claim they’ve been coming under rising attacks by the military structure in recent days, who are trying to suppress any expressions of religious beliefs, even by chaplains. For example, an officer was ordered to remove the Bible from his desk because it might appear he was endorsing a religion. And a video by a chaplain was censored because he said the word “God,” which might offend Muslims or atheists. The amendment by Louisiana Rep. John Fleming would have “required the Armed Forces to accommodate ‘actions and speech’ reflecting the conscience, moral, principles or religious beliefs of the member.” But the Obama Administration claimed that would have a “significant adverse effect on good order, discipline, morale, and mission accomplishment.” Personally, I’d just like to know why an atheist would be watching a video by a chaplain in the first place. Was he looking for loopholes?

Even if some combination manage a rag tag government, it would not last long. We are aware of VP SINGH, CHANDER SHEKHAR, DEVE GOWDA and IK GUJRAL formations? Did anyone last a full term?

So, ultimately, such a scenario would favor the flag bearer of so called SECULARISM----- the Congress party----- it would be a sad day for this country---- if looters of present day India, manipulate to come back to power. The congress party, has thrived on DIVISIVE POLITICS and FEAR PSYCHOSIS created as a result of divisive politics. It has destroyed every institute of Democracy----- from CAG to CIC to CVC to CEC; ARMED FORCES to BUREAUCRACY to POLICE to JUDICIARY---- whatever------ Do you want congress back, after all this?

I certainly hold it responsible for all the ills of modern India--- from communal violence/ Terrorism to corruption through imbalanced growth , poor governance, transfer of huge funds outside India and anything you might think of. I exhort Indians to wake up to get rid of MOTHER OF ALL EVILS.

Keep Calm Abbott is not PM : Just how much can Julia Gillard take? If put in her position last week, how many of us could keep our equanimity in the face of the shockingly hurtful contents of that menu being made public, and then have a radio announcer, to our face, airing false sludge about our partners? I, for one, could not, and in the latter case would find it very difficult not to invite the announcer for a chat in the car park. All of that on top of the endless nastiness filled with vicious epithets that circulate on the net, the hate-filled rants constantly coming out of bully-boy radio, and even kids throwing sandwiches at her in schools.
Much of it is driven - let's face it - by the fact she is a woman, and yet in the face of it all she displays more toughness than 99 per cent of men could muster. As for Howard Sattler, can anyone imagine him asking a similar vicious, personal question of Tony Abbott, who is an Oxford Blue in boxing? Seriously, would he?
We may agree or disagree with the policies of Julia Gillard, but it would be good if we could return to a base-level respect for the office she holds, and treat her personally with basic human decency.
