When adults get all gooey with babies, with all kinds of unnatural syrupy intonations, making complete idiots of themselves, when they pretend to be genuinely interested in stupid things kids keep bringing up, when they keep up these boring conversations, they imagine that they help kids to evolve. But the truth is they simply mislead a child greatly, and raise him or her to be an idiot.

If you really want to help a child in personal development, just be honest, treat a child as an already mature person, (as an adult with full-fledged personality), - even if a child is not yet able to reply like one. It’s the best way that motivates kids to reach your level of communication, instead of remaining a goo-gooing imbecile.

The reason for gooeying and using baby talks lies beyond just a wish of adressing a child. Many people do that also because they are psychologically stuck at the same level, and, as strange as it sounds, this gibbon-like conversation suffices and even satisfies them. They don’t want to realize they are killing a personality in their own child.

Carole Woodstock : Jenn Camirand showed us how to sprout beans, lentils, nuts, grains....I did my first batch and it worked!!! It was like watching a plant grow...super fun!
Sprouting adds nutritional value and helps digestion. The sprouted beans are great just like that or on a salad!

Do it Yourself – How to Sprout

Soak seeds overnight in a bowl with water.
The next morning, drain water and rinse with fresh water once or twice.
Place in a sprouting bag, or sprouting jar without any water. (Should still be humid, not completely dry.)
Every morning and night rinse with fresh water, to keep the sprouts wet and clean of mould.
Ensure the sprouts never dry up, and repeat process until your desired length or age of sprout.
Rinse out with fresh water and serve immediately in salads, wraps, smoothies, juices, breads/crackers, or just eat as a snack.

Blade Augey : HEADRUSH ASP would like to introduce you to the 6 week beginner course that will help you enter the crossfit world with ease.

Over the course of 6 weeks, Mike Heyburn will teach you the basic techniques, moves and some of the crazy talk that goes on in the gym. Some of the techniques and moves will include the use of the Olympic bar, Kettlebells, medicine balls, resistance bands, the chin up bar, the sledgehammer, the GHD and a few of the basic crossfit moves.

HEADRUSH ASP will be holding an information night about the 6 week course on Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th of June at 4:30pm and the course will Start on the 26th of June. Blade Augey, Ashely Augey and Jason Candelaria will be there to answer any questions you may have about the course and we will also have a demo on a few of the different techniques and moves that you will be learning.
The 6 week course is strictly 10 people only and the course will only go ahead if we have 10 people signed up. The course will be $240 We will also have a SPECIAL offer for those who take part in the course. This will be further explained at the info night.

The 6 week course will be twice a week for 6 weeks at the HEADRUSH ASP GYM, Wednesday at 7:30pm for 1 hour and Sunday 4PM for 90 minutes. The course will start as soon as we have 10 people signed up and payment for course has all been made in full.

The concept of giving without strings was hard to understand when I first came into the program. I was suspicious when others wanted to help me. I thought, "What do they want in return?" But I soon learned the joy of helping another alcoholic and I understood why they were there for me in the beginning. My attitudes changed and I wanted to help others. Sometimes I became anxious, as I wanted them to know the joys of sobriety, that life can be beautiful. When my life is full of a loving God of my understanding and I give that love to my fellow alcoholic, I feel a special richness that is hard to explain.

Herschel Hafford : I saw two very amazing events last evening. I arrived back from Allagash just as a group of young kids and a bunch of adults from the Millinocket Church of the Nazarene were dropping of 585 pounds of shoes at I Care Ministries. This group was inspired to help ICM with the food and fuel fund and they rose to the occasion in a huge way. Thanks to the leadership of Sherry Kowalski and Marie Dunstan this event was a great success.

The second and much greater event was the large group of youngsters gathered at the Millinocket Nazarene Church waiting for the concert to start. Roger Buzby and his band were there to minister to these kids in music. The church was nearly full of Kids. WOW! The kick off of a new youth ministry with a new pastor is exciting in Millinocket! May God abundantly bless this church with all they need to do His work in the hearts and lives of the kids of our area.

The "Mill" of Millinocket may be dead but the GOD of Millinocket is alive and working!
