Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery, Millry, AL. Mr. Hopkins, 63, a native of Laurel, and resident of State Line, died Friday, May 24, 2013 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro. He was employed as a Brick Mason. Mr. Hopkins is preceded in death by his father, Henry Hopkins; mother, Estelle Hopkins; sister, Joan Pittman. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Hopkins of State Line; two sons, Billy Wayne Hopkins of Newton, Jason Hopkins of Waynesboro; two daughters, Samantha Bernice Hopkins of State Line, Crystal Jean Hopkins of Citronelle, AL; three brothers, Wilmer Hopkins of Buckatunna, J C Hopkins of State Line, Jim Hopkins of Buckatunna; sister, Betty Dearmon of Waynesboro.

Scott Weiland : A letter to my fans,

Like everybody else out there, I read about my band, Stone Temple Pilots, and their recent performance this past weekend with a new singer. To tell you the truth, it took me by surprise. And it hurt.

But the band that played last weekend was not Stone Temple Pilots and it was wrong of them to present themselves as that.

First of all they don't have the legal right to call themselves STP because I'm still a member of the band. And more importantly, they don't have the ethical right to call themselves Stone Temple Pilots because it's misleading and dishonest to the millions of fans that have followed us for so many years.

When I tour on my own, it's never as Stone Temple Pilots. It's as Scott Weiland. The fans deserve to know what they're getting.

Like any band that's stood the test of time and made music for more than two decades, STP had a special alchemy - the four of us together were greater than any one of us apart. So if my former bandmates want to tour with a new singer, that's their prerogative.

I don't give a fuck what they call themselves, but it's not Stone Temple Pilots.
And so I say to you, our fans, I'll see you out there on the road this summer where I'm touring as "Scott Weiland" with my band The Wildabouts. But don't give up on STP. I know I haven't.

Scott Linton : So a few people have told me that maybe, I'm too picky. Let me go through the list of things I look for in a woman and you tell me if it's unrealistic.

1) Must be able to handle the fact that I am a hardcore geek. This just goes without saying.
2) If you outweigh me by 40lbs or more, (I weigh in between 160lbs to 175lbs depending on the season) it's an out. Sorry, it's not a superficial thing, it's a health thing. I know plenty of women that weigh about the same as me, but they're fit and healthy. Not unrealistic. Not looking for supermodel sticks, sticks are for dogs to chase.
3)Has to be able to physically still bear children, without the need for medical intervention because of age.
4) Having children from a previous relationship is ok, but within reason, 2 max, again, I would still like to be a father of at least one child of my own.
5)This is a HUGE one for me, cannot be hung up on money and expect to be pampered like a princess constantly. Men are not wallets, and thusly should not be looked at only for what's in their bank accounts.

No seriously, that's me being picky. Honestly, that really doesn't seem to be too much or unrealistic at all. You tell me folks....am I living in a fairy tale by thinking like this??

Corbin Bernsen : Two weeks and a day. That's how long mom has been gone. I was wondering why I felt so strange yesterday and it only occurred to me today that it was the 2 week mark of her passing.

Wednesdays... going to play a strange role in my future. It was a Wednesday that I first heard mom was going to go into the hospital - after a remarkable call with her that morning by the way! Sort of threw me for a loop. It was the best I had heard her in some time! That was, I believe, 5 Wednesdays ago. Then we all experienced the up and down ride for two full weeks where finally she beat the odds and was able to go home. (I know now that she was determined to get home one more time, see her dogs and her home.) Things went bad again and on a Tuesday she was taken back to the hospital. It was the next day, a Wednesday where we had to make a critical decision to really fight this thing one more time, honoring her final wishes of giving it a week to improve to a place where life would have some sort of quality. We gave it that week, then, the following Wednesday decided enough was enough. If God wanted her to continue, she would have to do it on her own. We pulled off apparatus, drugs, etc that would "maintain" her, keep her going. But we all know that wasn't to be and she passed on Wednesday May 8.

I wonder what Wednesdays will hold in the future. Probably nothing and honestly, my mom is probably saying, "Corbin, you're an idiot!" It's hump day if anything. Get over it!" Alright, you win... as always.

Support The British Army : Right - enough is enough! We as a page will not allow the racist hate filled comments and posts to continue. I am fed up to the back teeth of being accused of being Politically Correct today when asking for people to show some respect and not make such comments.
