Kal Hibbard : Running a successful business:
-Acknowledge disgruntled employees, because avoiding them can lead to greater problems.
-Govern and command properly yet be involved and expect to get your hands dirty.
-Being a head director/overseer in a stressful situation should show up most diligent, calm, collected, professional and willing to lend a hand.
-Public information is always public information, if asked, truthfully and professionally give them said information.
-The employees getting paid as such should not be put in to managerial positions, they're not management for a reason.
-Follow labor laws set by the state no matter how much you trust your employees to just "help out"
-When entering a messy workplace unaware how the previous allotment of time had gone, help others politely. Find a solution to make things run smoother, or get your hands dirty. Its best to just assume that you walked in at a stressful moment that could not have been helped. Ignorance and assumptions lead to Anger escalates others employee stress.
-Don't avoid conflict, understand and resolve it.
-Sympathy, humor and understanding is key to a happy staff.
-Be acutely aware of weak unmotivated regular employes whom bring the majority of staff morale and business down also show disregard of health code and remove them from the work place.
These are just some thoughts I've had working in restaurants with occasional retail positions over the last 8 years and that I've written down for the face book. 24 minutes ago - View -

If the president of one of the largest gun companies in the world is not safe from the petty, and illegal actions of the Barney Fife corp who is. We need civil rights protections from over zealous police for gun owners. Kimberly Lane : I can't believe that 13yrs ago on this day I lost my older brother to testicular cancer at the young age of 23. Not a day goes by I don't miss him or wish that he were here. I could really use his help and guidance right now, so John if ur listening, I miss you bro and I wish that u didn't have to go do soon, u barely got to live ur life. I want u here to meet ur nephews Jahiem who is now 7 1/2, Jamaal who is 6, and Kieth who will be 2 in a couple of weeks. So as an angel can u please watch over them, make sure nothing bad happens to my babies. And last but not least watch over dad, he doesn't know it but he'll be meeting u soon if he doesn't start taking better care of himself. And I know if u were here u'd be giving him all sorts of hell making sure he eats right and exercises on a regular basis. But since ur not here, could u please do it from up there, show him signs that ur around watching him to make sure he makes better decisions eating wise and everything so he can outlive us all. And take care of mom too, I know this battle with dad isn't easy for her. After the battle she lost with u, she hasn't been the same and now it's like she's reliving it with dad cause he is progressively getting worse and I know she is scared. So help her and take care of her please. That's all I ask and again I wish you were here so u could get to know ur nephews. I love u and I miss u!! Love ur baby sis Kimberly. 34 minutes ago - View -

Jamie's Animal Rescue : We all just got home from The Peddler Show, it was a looooong, hot day for us all- especially the fur-babies. An adoption event yesterday in Cypress and an adoption event today in Rosenberg has everyone worn out. It was a fantastic day though- I got to spend the day with my terrific rescue friends (Jamie P, Jennifer K, Craig L, and my parents) and we had four adoptions! I count just having one adoption as a blessing, but four at one event- is AMAZING. I do have to vent though... A lot of people seemed "astonished" or "disgusted" with my adoption process- they thought my adoption fee was outrageous ($150 for a dog, and $100 for a cat). My rescues come completely vetted- all 3 vaccines, rabies, microchip, and spay/neuter. I do not make any profit off an adoption fee- I actually lose money every time because I don't charge the cost of what I actually spend on the animal from beginning to end. I rescue in order to find good homes- therefore do not get upset with me if I do not let an animal leave with you straight from an adoption event. I like to allow the potential adopters to think about the decision they are making instead of seeing a puppy, thinking it is so cute and getting home just to change their minds, plus I like to think it through as well- I am attached to each and every one of these animals and to just let them walk away at a moments notice is too confusing for them, and for my heart as well. Everything I do.. I do it for the animals. 39 minutes ago - View -

Pornography has come on like a Tsunami with the advent of Internet and cell phone.
If you aren't being proactive to "GUARD YOUR FAMILY," the fallout can be devastating and NOT because of moral concerns, but the impact on family relations and productivity.
...Revenue's from pornography in America is 2 times (2X) the combined revenues of ABC, CBS & NBC!
...70% of 12 to 25 year olds view pornography on a regular basis.
...62% of Christian Men are regularly viewing Pornography.
...Studies show that youngsters viewing porn are susceptible to neurochemical and emotional damage.
Gordon Baker, M.A., will lead the Seminar. His focus is on God's gift of sexuality. He will help us understand and respond to this wave infiltrating our family and home.
Fathers, single men, future Dads cannot do this alone, a personal determination of more discipline won't get it done . . . the Battle is too big! Secrecy and easy access feeds this and we need help!
Don't miss this event. And, please don't feel stigmatized by showing up.
This event is open to ANY man to attend and is free of charge. 39 minutes ago - View -
It is a myth that wisdom teeth must be removed. In fact, wisdom teeth do not need to be removed if they are completely healthy. Most dentists do not like to perform serious surgery – including removing wisdom teeth – unless your wisdom teeth are causing you serious problems; such as bacteria infections that can cause gum disease.
Wisdom teeth typically show up when you are between the ages of 17 and 24. The way your jaw is structured makes it difficult – sometimes impossible – for wisdom teeth to break through your gums. While some people never have to remove their wisdom teeth, studies have shown out of every ten individuals, nine people will suffer from wisdom teeth issues.
If you want your healthy wisdom teeth removed, we can help you determine the best course of action for extraction. If you decide to keep your wisdom teeth, make sure you have regular checkups so those teeth can be cleaned and monitored. 41 minutes ago - View -
