We have often been asked to defend God's actions, or to come up with answers to these questions. I'd like to tell you that we do not ever have to defend God or his actions, they were perfect and right. He has a different perspective than we do, and we, as finite and severely limited beings of just enough intellect to be sentient cannot possibly see what the one who holds the universe sees, nor can we understand the ways of a creator who made all there is. My biggest question isn't "Why would God ____", but rather, why does He even care? His power is limitless, His presence is everywhere,His knowledge is boundless, and yet He took a part of Himself and became a man!
He completely understands us, not just from an engineering perspective as our maker, but from a brother's point of view as well, because He lived just as we did. The difference between us and Him is that while He was tempted in every way, He never once gave in. I can't even say that about YESTERDAY, and yet I know that He still loves and accepts me for who I am because I believe in Him. He doesn't expect us to be perfect, just to believe. The reason for his new covenant is forgiveness of His people.
I am glad there are people like Ravi Zacharias who can reason with those who believe differently. I can't. I can only give the reason for the hope that is within me...that is Jesus Christ died for my sins, and on the third day He arose from the grave to show me that not even death has power over me now!

Obviously, the number seven figures prominently in the lights of the Menorah, and in the Book of Revelation. But why?

Since seven in the Bible represents perfection or completion, as in the seventh day Shabbat (Sabbath), we know that no improvements can be made to that which God has made. It's perfect and complete on the Divine side of things.

So it is, too, with those who follow Yeshua.

Although on the Divine side, the Body of Messiah is complete and perfect, on the human side, we need to hold fast to the Light of the World, follow His lead, and repent of our sins. (Revelation 2:5; see also 2:16 and 3:3)

Top Dawg K-9 : Day 4 of Rugers rehabilitation: He is better and better everyday, no growling at all yesterday, no counter surfing and has not even attempted to get on the furniture. He likes looking out of the storm doors at the squirrels and would love to go after them. Last night while we were sitting on the back porch a rabbit was out on the lawn. He fixated on it and wanted so badly to go after it but was perfectly under control when told no. We sent him in the house, by himself, and he was a perfect gentleman. The one thing about Ruger is that he needs tough love. He has to know that "no means no" and back talk or growling is not an option. It only takes a stern word, nothing more. Once we established his boundaries it was understood.
