Shay Warden : Penn state university, is saying that an ice head ache comes not from the presence of cold on the upper palate of your mouth but from the return of heat. I am going to have to call bull shit on that one. Anyone who has ever tryed to with one long ass drink slam a 44oz slurpee or slushy or the 40 you bought on monday and saved in the bottom door rack of the refrigerator for Friday after work will tell you the "braine freeze" happens in the compleat absence of heat. Rene Luke : Well, good news... Kind of. The BSA (Boy Scouts of America) is finally allowing gay children to join or remain scouts up to the age of 18. The good part of this is they will not be kicked out for being gay. That's a step in the right direction.

The bad part of this is that the BSA WILL eject anyone 18 or over! So that eagle scout badge will be closed to most gays. Gay parents will still be shunned, refused leadership positions and won't be available to council gay kids just coming out.

My BIGGEST concern is that they will use this as an opportunity to "fix" them, try to force them to conform. Make them straight. Conversion therapy by straight, homophobic scout leaders. I also worry that the fanatics (they ARE out there!) will use their position to bully gay kids to toughen them up, make them into "men." That IS the boyscout's current theme, isn't it? Making them MANLY MEN!

We will see how this goes... I want to be positive and cheerful about the announcement but like the Khoman thing and DADT back in the nineties, I think this whole thing is more about fixing bad publicity and less about helping gay teens.
