Joe Asad : When you're in a tough situation, all you have to do is keep your poise, stay focused, and continue to grind it out. That's exactly what the Spurs did tonight.
San Antonio was down by 18 in the first quarter, turning the ball over 8 times and shooting just 21% from the field. Gregg Popovich took out the starters, swapped in the bench, and those guys gave them much-needed energy to get back into the swing of things. When Tony Parker and Tim Duncan came back in, they got their mojo back and continued to chip away slowly. Parker would lead the way scoring-wise with 26 points, but it was Tim Duncan that saved the day yet again. After the Spurs forced overtime for the second consecutive game, Tim Duncan would score 7 points to stab Memphis in the heart, and would finish with a double-double (24 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 big assists). Manu Ginobili gave his team that third option to help his troops get over the hump, as he had an excellent all-around game (19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists).
The Spurs are 1 win away from the NBA finals, as they now lead the series 3-0. They'll look to wrap it up Monday back at Memphis @ 9pm ET on ESPN. 2 hours ago - View -

Zach Randolf is fat they won't say that on t.v., but he is. I will give credit to Marc Gasol. He plays for arguably the 2nd best team in the league, Spain, but he didn't deserve to win dedensive player of the year. 6 hours ago - View -

-- NY Mets Matt Harvey’s legend growing as he dates supermodel Anne V. Our advice to Harvey is to keep this thing going as long as he keeps at it while shutting doing the National League. But the first sign of struggle, we suggest for him to refer to WWJD (What would Jeter Do). Dump her.
-- If Titus Young is truly on the road to recovery, he’s got an interesting way of showing it. The troubled free agent receiver, who’s been arrested four times this month (twice in a 15-hour span), appeared in a California court Friday and learned he’d be facing a total of 11 criminal charges, including attempted burglary.
His reaction? He completely ignored Judge Andre Manssourian during proceedings. It’s been said too often in recent weeks, but Young has a long way to go before his life — let alone career — is back on the right track.

KING KOBE : Phil Jackson said he would take Bill Russell over Michael Jordan if he was starting a team. Do you agree?
Most believe Jackson would likely go with Michael Jordan or maybe even Kobe Bryant, but the 11-time NBA champion surprisingly went in a different direction choosing to go with NBA legend Bill Russell via ESPNLosAngeles.com:
“In my estimation, the guy that has to be there would be Bill Russell. He has won 11 championships as a player,” Jackson said in an interview with Time. “That’s really the idea of what excellence is, when you win championships.”
Although Jordan is arguably the greatest NBA player of all-time and Kobe has accomplished enough to put himself in the debate, Jackson going with Russell over both players makes sense to a certain degree.
COMMENT: Are you with Phil - who would you take if starting at team: Bill Russell or MJ? Why?
