Aatif Inam : lets work to move a bill in assembly that no dual national shud be a head of political party.............if somebody wants to do active politics in Pakistan ,he/she shud be a Pakistani only n reside in Pakistan too.......I will talk to few MNA's in coming months n ask them to move this bill..........I know this is a suggestion but will work on its refinement so that the expat's voting right does'nt get disturbed.......how about that to run a political party you must reside a certain amount of days in Pakistan ..........need to propagate that on social media n work for it in real world as well..........in past miltary actions could not bring down this demon that controls Karachi...lets fight them out in a political n legal way.......

Moeed Pirzada : Off-course there was massive rigging, but it was done by different parties in areas where they had been running governments and doing transfer postings of police and education departments etc..so in Punjab it was PMLN, in Karachi it was MQM and in Interior Sindh it was PPP, ANP tried a bit here and there but it did not have much clout since in the last 25 years they had ran the province only since 2008 and Taliban made it difficult for them to control administration. But in a country as corrupt and under-developed this rigging too will be accepted, even international community is not bothered, perhaps there is no option in underdeveloped countries like Pakistan? But this brings us to various interesting questions; two are important: One, What Elections really mean in a country like Pakistan? Can governments that control administrations be ever dislodged through elections? or other means are needed like foreign influence, conspiracies and Army supported by foreign powers? Two, What kind of a party Imran Khan's PTI was? It could only inspire young people to vote but had no plan to manage the Election day? had no balls to resist rigging, no organizational muscle to fight back or protest in an organized robust fashion the way parties like Muslim Brotherhood have done in Egypt? So if a party like PTI forms government in a complex troubled province like KPK, will they be smart enough, clever enough and strong enough to manage? especially when PMLN in center may not help them or do small mischief all the time? If Elections have proved something, it is that in a country like Pakistan you need much more than just people and votes; you need organization, administrative experience, bureaucratic inroads and insights and a muscle to protect your interests, PTI has demonstrated nothing and the sooner it realizes that the better it is. Without this realization by its supporters, running KPK may be the end of this party. They must learn how to govern.

Moeed Pirzada : Challenge for Justice Fakhur-ud-Din G Ibrahim - He earned respect and integrity in his life; now at 84, all what he needed was a legacy. Unfortunately he has presided over the worst rigged elections since 1977; he should either undertake the challenge of holding elections in all those constituencies where Polling stations show more than 80% voting patterns, where there are serious complaints like NA: 125, 122, 250 etc or if they don't let him do that then he should publicly accept his failure and resign through a press conference. For an honest man like Fakhru Bahi there is no other option left; he has been used for a rigged election; he need to act quickly to fix it up or resign by taking responsibility...

PTI WOMEN WING (Official) : Just called the Metropolitan Police in London at 00442072301212 and registered my complaint against Altaf Hussain, telling the officer that this citizen of UK had threatened a group of protesters in Karachi last night openly on live television. The rest of the conversation went like this:

Officer: Who Mr. Altaf Hussain?

Me: Yes, he heads a political party in Pakistan

Officer: Oh Sir you have no idea how many complaints we've been receiving against this person from all over and we've registered the matter and working on it.

Me: Great! Can you assure me that you won't be dropping this matter since the nature of it is political?

Officer: Sir, this is London, anyone who goes against the law is dealt accordingly. We'll be taking action on this matter. Don't worry.

Gun Rights : I have a question for everyone here: should former felons be allowed to own guns? You know all the arguments for why they SHOULDN'T be allowed, so here are some for why they should. The majority of felons are non-violent drug offenders, and may want to be able to protect their family if they turn their life around. Approximately 40% of non-justifiable homicides don't involve firearms, so those people are unaffected by this. Murders make up a very low percentage of violent crime. And finally, if someone shoots 3 or 4 people with a gun, why can we trust them to be outside of prison? If they want a gun and haven't turned their life around, they can obtain one illegally. Many do turn their lives around, and are unable to defend their families legally for the rest of their life, while the ones that remain criminals after being released from prison do obtain firearms. Also, the prohibited persons include people with a restraining order on them, dishonorably discharged military veterans, and those declared mentally ill. This leads to stuff like record keeping of guns and background checks for all law abiding citizens. Here's the question: Should the government continue to prohibit certain individuals from owning firearms?

Singapore Police Force : Dear all, thank you for your various feedback. Police confirm that it has received information of a planned illegal protest at Merlion Park against the Malaysian General Elections results this weekend. There are also allegations that the Police would allow such activity to take place if it was positioned as a flash mob. This is not true. The Police have spoken to the organiser and she admitted that no such advice was given to her. She has also informed Police that she will be cancelling the planned event.

Whether it is a flash mob event or protest, outdoor demonstrations for any cause generally require a police permit. Members of the public who participate in such unlawful activities that threaten the peace and public order of Singapore can be arrested and prosecuted for breaking the law.

There are avenues to express one’s views without breaking the law. We would like to reiterate that foreigners are allowed to work or live here, but they have to abide by our laws. They should not import their domestic issues from their countries into Singapore and conduct activities which can disturb public order, as there can be groups with opposing views. Those who break the law will be seriously dealt with. This may include termination of their work passes and visas.
