Cathy Willer
Cathy Willer : Timeline Photos     October 19th – Two appropriate stories for Sunday: 1) City officials in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho have threatened ordained ministers Donald & Evelyn Knapp with months in jail and/or thousands of dollars in fines if they decline to perform weddings for same-sex couples. & 2) Houston Mayor Annise Parker was instrumental in the passage of an “Equal Rights Ordinance” that includes access to all public restrooms for those with differing “gender identities.” The city then subpoenaed sermons from 5 local pastors suspected of openly supporting the repeal of the ordinance. After a public outcry the city has backed off but is still demanding “private communications” between the pastors and church members with the mayor tweeting: “If the 5 pastors used pulpits for politics, their sermons are fair game.” But Reverend Jeremiah Wright and those of the cloth now pushing amnesty aren’t the least bit worried. Nor are any mosques that refuse to perform gay marriages. They all know that First Amendment rights in America these days are only guaranteed for PC hypocrites! P
