Tetapi jika keberadaan teko semacam itu ditegaskan dalam buku-buku kuno, diajarkan sebagai kebenaran suci setiap Minggu, dan ditanamkan dalam pikiran anak-anak di sekolah, keengganan untuk memercayai keberadaannya akan menjadi tanda sebuah keanehan dan menggiring orang yang meragukannya ke psikiater pada abad pencerahan atau kepada anggota Inkuisisi pada masa lebih awal.

Jackson Hall : Was doing some research last night and found some interesting and ridiculous numbers on government spending. Over the past four years, the US government has spent over $6 billion dollars on protecting endangered species. Over the past six years, the government has spent only $450 million on fusion research and further budget cuts are planned. This is absurd... Why are we trying to save animals and species that have no use to us? The government has spent more tax money in one year on saving the Orange Roughy (an endangered fish) than it has on a clean, reliable, nearly infinite source of power in 3 years. And for no particular reason, this species doesn't benefit the government in a financial way and the only reason it's dying off is because of low reproduction rates mixed with minor overfishing. This brings up another topic, in my school, our gym is stocked better than most, if not all, of our science labs. Our school wastes money on ridiculous electives and sports and they complain that we still are suffering from budget cuts. The money that went into our multimillion dollar auditorium could of been spent a lot wiser. This issue, sadly, won't be resolved. At the least we could do pay for play at schools, but they shot that down as fast as possible.
