Jim'll Paint It Jim'll Paint It : Back to basics challenge

For this week and this week only I am imposing a rule on the painting requests. The challenge is to come up with a request using no more than 5 words. It has been said that the suggestions are becoming almost formulaic in their randomness and I can't help but agree. With any luck this challenge will bring Jim'll Paint It back to basics so that when a complicated one does come along it stands out from the crowd. It also means I'll get loads more pictures done and make lots more people happy.

So go for it. Stick your 5 word requests below or on the wall as usual. Thanks!

Wearing the hoops top with honour. Wearing the hoops top with honour. : Performance director Wotte made his comments on Twitter after 29-year-old midfielder Commons announced he had quit Scotland on the same day national team boss Gordon Strachan left him out of his squad for next month's World Cup qualifier in Croatia.

Wotte said: "Retiring at 29 after only 10 caps honestly still puzzles me. Where does pride, desire and ambition come into this picture? Agree?"

Scotland midfielder Brown, however, supported his Parkhead colleague, who won two more caps than Wotte gave him credit for.

Brown told a number of newspapers: "There is nothing wrong with Kris' desire. He has come to a club such as Celtic and shown what he can do.

"Kris trains hard, he's always in the gym.

"He is one of the first ones into training in the morning and one of the last ones to leave, so there is nothing wrong with his desire whatsoever."

Commons who has a wife and three children, cited family reasons as one of the major motivations behind his decision.

"Every man to his own," said Brown. "We stay away in a lot of hotels on European trips and it is hard to see your family so I understand where he is coming from.

"We're also in a hotel for every match and you can sometimes be there three times a week.

"Then you have the three matches so you could be having just a night or two a week in your own house. It can be hard."

Good on ye Broony. We tend tae forget players have families tae.

• Okwonga: End of Fergie's reign

The 71-year-old, who retired after Sunday's 5-5 draw against West Bromwich Albion, has signed a lucrative deal with publishers Hodder & Stoughton.

It will be Ferguson's first book since Managing My Life, his 1999 account of his career that ended with United's treble-winning season.

It was a bestseller that also attracted headlines because of Ferguson's criticisms of Brian Kidd, his former assistant at Old Trafford, and Gordon Strachan, who played under him at both Aberdeen and United.

Managing My Life was ghost-written by Hugh McIlvanney. Paul Hayward, the Daily Telegraph's chief sportswriter, will work with Ferguson on his next book.

Andy Paterson Andy Paterson : Gordon Strachan has finally erased the last bit of interest I had in our national team.

Yesterday on the news he came out with he had picked James Forrest,Scott Brown, and Tony Watt for the next qualifier because Neil Lennon told him they could be doing with a game, also he left out kris Commons and Charlie Mulgrew as Lennon told him they could be doing with a rest !

Last I looked Strachan was the Scotland manager, not Neil Lennon, its a fucking joke!.

Now it's transpired that at 29,Commons has retired from the Scotland set-up after a measly 12 caps.

Once again the SFA have shown themselves up for what they are,a bunch of puppets pandering to Celtic at every turn,I used to say I didn't lose any sleep if Scotland lost but hoped they won games......

Until there's a complete overhaul from the top to the bottom of that mob I hope they get pumped in every game, and if any of you haggis munchers out there don't like it,kiss my arse!.
