Wigan Athletic News And Banter Page : Tony Pulis has left Stoke! Done a great job to be honest, got them promoted and kept them safely in Prem for 5 years. Wouldn't want Pulis as manager, but i'd rather play his way and win games than Martinez's 'pretty football' and be relegated 2 days ago - View -

Wolves-news. : HEAD COACH SEARCH:
Wolves were today closing in on a new head coach!
Former Millwall boss Kenny Jackett is still rated the favourite by the bookies,Moxey met with the club’s head of football development and recruitment Kevin Thelwell today for an update on the progress of identifying the successor to the sacked Dean Saunders.
Thelwell has already conducted preliminary discussions with Jackett but the former Lions boss' same-day exit from the Championship club was coincidental to the Molineux vacancy.
However, he is certain to be the subject of a meeting with Moxey and it's also understood contact has been made with former England manager Steve McClaren.
Wolves are in the market at the same time as Sheffield United, who are conducting interviews this week.
Karl Robinson of Milton Keynes Dons, Motherwell’s Stuart McCall and former Midlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate on the radar.
The Molineux club are also intrigued by the incendiary end-of-season episode at Brighton, the scene of their Championship exit.
There has been major doubt placed over the future of Gus Poyet – who chairman Steve Morgan has coveted in the past.
Poyet has eyes for a higher profile than League One, but Wolves have a project to sell which they believe can be attractive.
Moxey and Thelwell plan to get a working list of half a dozen hopefuls down to two or three main contenders before Morgan adds his input in a second wave of interviews.
An appointment is not expected until next week. 2 days ago - View -
