Ask the Chicks Ask the Chicks : Question: "I'm 36 wks pregnant with baby #1, and I'm absolutely freaking out about how my husband is going to be able to feed me those first couple weeks when I know I'm going to be exhausted and the last thing I want to do is cook. My husband comes from a family that eats out all the time, he is fine eating take out every single night. Despite trying to teach him how to cook the basics, he has taken no initiative to cook anything, and despite my desire not to eat take out all the time, if I don't cook something that's the only other option. I've tried spending time teaching him, pushing him to cook things, not pushing him, giving him recipes/ideas, begging, pleading, crying, screaming, everything and nothing I do seems to get through to him. Suggestions, anything would be helpful... Before you go calling me lazy and a bad wife, know I'm a restaurant manger that frequently works 12 + hours/ day, nights, days, weekends, whenever, so yeah I cook when I can but time is not something I have a lot of."

The State vs Jodi Arias ~ Travis Alexander murder trial The State vs Jodi Arias ~ Travis Alexander murder trial : A message from a member of this page. I've copied it out verbatim but have left out the poster's name. If you wish to come forward, please do so in the comments:

"I have unfortunately been in prison where she will go, and TRUST ME!!! She will NOT be the Predator..she WILL be the Prey!!! Prison is WAAAY different than that safe little jail she is in now!!! She's in for a rude awakening!!! And what she said about starting programs and clubs and helping the "illiterate" inmates..NEVER going to happen!!! She's going to be in COMPLETE isolation for AT LEAST five years, and after she manages to "program down" to a lower classification....she still needs to realize that's she's now an INMATE!! The State runs every aspect of your life, so NO she won't be contributing ANYTHING to society!! The closest she'll get is a 50 cent an hour job as a GED tutor..but that will take her YEARS and YEARS to get that "privilege". And her smug, superior attitude she has, all that's going to get her is beaten up and robbed!! So, it would be in her best interest to just SHUT UP FOR ONCE IN HER LIFE and get OK with the fact that as soon as that gate closes behind her at the "Perryville Complex" sign, nobody cares that she's Jodi Arias...for the rest of her disgusting life, all anyone will know about her is her INMATE NUMBER!!!"

Spotted Basingstoke Spotted Basingstoke : Admin: I urge everyone to take a breath and think carefully before acting following the horrific incident today.

There is alot of hatred across the nation right now. We do not need hatred - we need calm, decisive and appropriate action by the authorities.

I have seen the ITV footage of this incident. I am disgusted, shocked, and horrified. My thoughts are with the family and friends of our soldier, and those poor people who witnessed it.

The only target for any anger should be towards the two men who did this sick act. Be careful not to misplace it.

Ray Comfort Ray Comfort : Ray Comfort: It was in the Sermon on the Mount that Jesus said, “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:20). Those words must have been a shock for His disciples. The scribes and the Pharisees were the epitome of righteousness. They tithed from herbs, to money. They openly prayed on street corners, and made sure that they were seen both when they gave and prayed. If anyone looked as though they were righteous, it was the religious leaders. But Jesus said that they were like cups that were painted white on the outside, but filthy within. He told them that they were hypocrites, and asked how they could possibly escape the damnation of Hell.

But that’s all “religion” can do for you—clean up the outside, when God sees and will judge by the inner motives and the thought-life. That’s why we need the mercy of the gospel. When we are born again, God “imputes” righteousness to us. We are freely made right with Him through the righteousness of Jesus, so that we are morally clean in His sight—perfectly justified, not because we do anything or are good in ourselves, but because Jesus did everything on the cross.

Samuel Turner III Samuel Turner III : Ms. Lois Lerner apparently waived her right to plead the fifth today by making an opening statement defending her innocence. It appears that Congress may call her back to testify or hold her in contempt of Congress. She now has to tell the truth and let the chips fall where they may. The question is however will Congress accept the truth as it is; or will they taint it and stretch to mean what they need it to mean politically. That is the question.............

Our England Our England : England my England
Goodbye to my England , So long my old friend
Your days are numbered, being brought to an end
To be Scottish, Irish or Welsh that's fine
But don't say you're English, that's way out of line... The French and the Germans may call themselves such
So may Norwegians, the Swedes and the Dutch
You can say you are Russian or maybe a Dane
But don't say you're English ever again.
At Broadcasting House the word is taboo
In Brussels it's scrapped, in Parliament too
Even schools are affected. Staff do as they're told
They must not teach children about England of old.
Writers like Shakespeare, Milton and Shaw
The pupils don't learn about them anymore
How about Agincourt, Hastings, Arnhem or Mons ?
When England lost hosts of her very brave sons.
We are not Europeans, how can we be?
Europe is miles away, over the sea
We're the English from England, let's all be proud
Stand up and be counted - Shout it out loud!
Let's tell our Government and Brussels too
We're proud of our heritage and the Red, White and Blue
Fly the flag of Saint George or the Union Jack
Let the world know -
WE WANT OUR ENGLAND BACK !!!!

Left Action Left Action : LeftAction: Tell Boehner: Enough already with the damned 'Repeal Obamacare' votes     The House has now voted THIRTY-SEVEN times on repealing Obamacare.

37 times. Even though repeal has no chance of passing the Senate, and certainly no chance of being signed by President Obama.

There is real work to be done, and yet Boehner and the House Republicans have chosen to focus instead on appealing to their lunatic fringe through a series of "Groundhog Day" votes. Enough is enough.

Andy Taylor Andy Taylor : Am I missing something here?! 2 men hack off a serving Soldiers head in a broad daylight surburban area of London. The Man dies. The Murderers try attacking the Police officers with Machetes and are subsequently gunned down. The attackers are the rushed to seperate London hospitals where they are treated for Gunshot wounds. The difference between todays society and society way back is that in todays world we are a bunch of idiotic soft tw**s abiding to horrific excuses of citizen rights and too scared to breach them. A man who fought for our Country and our Queen has been murdered for being an honest and loyal person to his Country. The best part about this is, this mans killers will most probably recieve urgent treatment and be provided with medicine to heal their wounds, they will go to court plead guilty and serve life imprisonment. To me, allowing these sick minded people to live after committing such an unforgiving crime is showing them RESPECT. Allowing them to live on in prison whilst one of our serving Soldiers lost his life for no reason is showing our Soldier DIS-RESPECT. Let the public torture them.
