The Astronomers place : STARS TO SEE IN SKY TONIGHT

Arcturus:-To find Arcturus follow an imaginary curving line from the handle of the Plough, to a distance of 30 degrees from the handle end star (Alkaid). You’ll come to a bright orange star, this is Arcturus in Bootes

Tonight you’ll see this red giant quite high, and rising in the south east at nightfall. It then climbs higher to the south, and moves lower to the south west by daybreak.

Capella:-Auriga with its star Capella is still now quite low in the north west at night fall, it continues to move lower before then sinking to just above the northern horizon by the early hours.

Vega:-Tonight Vega is in the constellation of Lyra and rises from the east after dark. It then climbs, and is high the south east sky by daybreak.

Mizar (and Alcor):-Tonight as darkness falls you’ll see the Plough very high in the south eastern sky. By daybreak it is visible lower in the north-west sky.
