Jason Noxid : Today is another day of a tragic lost of a great man, James Gandolfini and we lost few others this year too such as Facebook friend Tom Lawson, wrestling valet Percy Pringle (Paul Bearer) and son of wrestling legend Ric Flair, Reed Flair. Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman. Losing Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr is the saddest loss this year, because i been a huge fan of there's, Clive Burr is one of the best metal drummers of all time, and it was really depressing to see Clive Burr struggling with multiple sclerosis (which my dad has, so i know how it is). Last year i was deeply saddened when we loss Ernest Borgnine, i been a huge fan of his, and one of my favorites hes been in is Airwolf, him and Jan Michael Vincent were an awesome team.

Las películas más interesantes de Sinatra en la década de los 40 fueron "Levando Anclas" (1945), un musical de George Sidney que estaba co-protagonizado por Gene Kelly y Kathryn Grayson, y "Un Día En Nueva York" (1949), la famosa película de Stanley Donen y Gene Kelly con Frank de nuevo compartiendo traje de marinero con Gene Kelly. La pareja estaba acompañada por Betty Garrett y Ann Miller.
En los años 50 su prestigio como actor se acrecentó, ya que consiguió el Oscar como mejor actor secundario por "De Aquí a La Eternidad" (1953), la película de Fred Zinnemann ambientada en Pearl Harbor.

Con posterioridad volvió a optar a la estatuilla, ahora en la categoría de mejor actor principal, por su papel de drogadicto en "El Hombre Del Brazo De Oro" (1955), un título dirigido por Otto Preminger. No tuvo fortuna esta vez y el Oscar se lo llevó Ernest Borgnine por "Marty".

Jaimes Palacio : Considering my mood I felt that THE BLACK HOLE should be revisited. Hadn't seen it since I was a kid, and even then not sure if I saw all of it or went to sleep. Ok, first off, this was Disney's answer to Star Wars. Most of the special effects (an orange fireball swooping down the length of a space ship as the silhouettes of our heroes run over a bridge) still hold up. Some do not. (the "asteroids" look like someone's acid trip in a lava lamp) Some are supremely silly. (putting cartoon eyeballs on the two "friendly robots"- voiced by Roddy McDowell and Slim Pickens) As to the science: it is laughable, if not completely incoherent: um...one of the scientists' has ESP with a robot? Come again? As to the ending, it is as baffling as the ending to COMMUNION. So, wait: the Black Hole contains Hell, Heaven and apparently an art gallery? Despite this, and the lackluster direction (the fight scenes are strictly 80's T.V. show) it is watchable and interesting. While Joseph Bottoms and Yvette Mimieux give cardboard something to aspire to, Maximillian Schell, Anthony Perkins and Robert Forrester are solid enough for this flim flam foolery. Ernest Borgnine plays a version of every Ernest Borgnine character after The Posidon Adventure, but also is solid enough. As to the music: apparently Disney MUST have run out of money to pay John Barry because he delivered 4 pieces of music which are alternated throughout. Some used nonsensically. All in all a good time waster but not a keeper.
