Beim Payback-PPv wurde die Rückkehr von Rob Van Dam zu WWE für den Money in the Bank PPV bekannt gegeben. Sofort kamen Gerüchte über den Vertrag auf. Glaubt man Internet-Quellen so soll es sich um einen kurzzeitigen Vertrag handeln. Genaue Daten liegen nicht vor, jedoch wird van Dam nicht Fulltime zu WWE zurückkehren bzw. keine oder nur wenige House Shows bestreiten. Sein Profil bei TNAW wurde umgehend entfernt. Paul Heyman freut sich besonders über die Rückkehr und nannte van Dam einen Heyman-Guy. Brad Maddox hingegen brüstete sich damit, dass er den Vertrag eingefädelt habe. Tatsächlich ist es so, dass vor wenigen Wochen Kontakt mit RVD aufgenommen wurde, van Dam sich also, entgegen anders lautender Gerüchte, nicht eigenständig angeboten hat. Damien Sandow kündigte bereits an, dass er sich nicht vor jemandem fürchte, dessen Name aus drei Buchstaben besteht.

Im Februar berichteten wir über die Verhaftung von Jack Swagger direkt nach den damaligen Smackdown-Tapings. Er wurde wegen erhöhter Geschwindigkeit angehalten und bei der Kontrolle wurde Marihuana gefunden und Swagger stand unter dem Einfluss der Droge. Am 25.6. kommt es nun zur Verhandlung in Mississippi. Der Anwalt fordert für Swagger die Höchststrafe. Dies würde zwei Tage Gefängnis und einige Therapiesitzungen bedeuten. Swagger hatte direkt nach der Verhaftung eine Geldstrafe in Höhe von fast 2000 Dollar bezahlt.
