Joe Rinehart : We're pretty sure after two sightings this past week and a couple of witnesses, we have a Bobcat in the neighborhood! SO, do we call the dog warden for this? LOL
A friend suggested we buy a hikers type camera designed for wildlife to capture the critter! Anyone have any time to spend looking for a low cost wildlife cam ;) 9 minutes ago - View -

Micki Strickland : We have had so many critters in our yard this summer. Aside from the birds, rabbits and squirrels, we have seen several deer, 2 raccoons, 2 young foxes, a bobcat, and a coyote. Gracie loves to chase the "company" away. I had to put her training collar back on so she'd stay and protect me! ;) 28 minutes ago - View -
Andy Walters : The best thing about our trip to OK is watching humanity be what it could/can be, and a reason why I sometimes believe our country is at it's best during crisis. (WWII for example...) Everyone pitches in and does something to help their fellow man. There are no 1st world problems and no one is a leaner - everybody "lifts". Everyone is focused on what is important and what is important is helping your fellow man and making the world or circumstances better for others. You do what you can, there is common purpose and first things come first. Thank you to all of the volunteers who are going or any businesses/individuals who have contributed to our effort. Bill's Trailer Sales, Honeyman Rental, TS Bank, Target, Salem United Methodist Church, Epworth United Methodist Church, Lewis Central and Council Bluffs Schools Staff, Bobcat of Salina, KS., Friends of LC Music, West Broadway Clinic in CB, and many other gracious individuals!!! 36 minutes ago - View -

Renee Potts : ok! Soooooo I had an encounter with a BOBCAT tonight - that's right a BOBCAT!!! He was coming right toward me! We saw each other and stopped dead in our tracks! I then did the one thing you are not supposed to do - RUN!!! He came after me (not in full speed) but then lost interest. I could hardly breathe I was so scared!!! The authorities think either he was sick - maybe rabid (very doubtful)but more likely being fed by someone. Either way they said I was lucky. YIKERS!!!!!!! 40 minutes ago - View -

Gina M. Danaher : I am outside in my coop. I have candles burning all over my lot. Lights in the darkness. I know that everyone else in this neighborhood is watching the Blackhawks, but since it is so quiet, the Hawks must be having a hard time with the Bruins. Still, I think, the Hawks have a better chance of defeating the Bruins than I have of defeating Peter Rabbit who stripped my bean plants of all leaves and decimated my about-to-bloom eggplant today - right under my nose. I literally spent the entire day constructing a fence around the entire perimeter of the garden. This year's crop of bunnies is on steroids. 58 minutes ago - View -
Chris Ashcraft : We came home to ten dead juvenile chicks, scattered about INSIDE the goat pen (where a coyote could not get to them) and no signs of hawk attack (well, there WAS this one that showed signs of being attacked by hawk...).

Peanut the Pit-Mixed : I almost forgot!!! The quote of the decade is brought to you by a shovel jockey that dad was spending the day trying not to run over with the Bobcat... Dads worked with this dude before doing farm work in the fall. (dad can and do drive anything...) Guys son is dads age, bit younger... good kid, former felon...(wrong crowd and a follower, dont judge) kids a work horse... dads seen some laborers, this kids worth 2 or 3... So guy has a Husky mix and a Rat Terrier dog... NOT a Pit bull guy... I scare him (beards... i HATE beards... we all have vices right???) He thinks Rex is a HUGE dog (10lbs less than me) SO... the quote, man about his son:
"...works like a Pit Bull"

She fell off a (smallish) cliff photographing petroglyphs at Nine Mile Canyon, then fended off a bobcat (that she identified as a lion) at our campsite in Chaco. John Queen : Life on the Ranch 06/19/2013
I have pics from last weekend i will post ASAP.
We have the bobcat and operator going on the second week.
There was no burning today due to the rain but the soil was soft
eleminating dust and making it easier for Pete to rip the undergrowth up in short order.
We are in "hunting the hunter" mode here.
We lost 5 eggs in the laying box 3 nights ago, then on the return visit night before last lost a chicken with head and wing gone.
Last night lost 1 egg and it moved the ceramic (fake) egg out of the nesting box,
gave up and went away.
Tonight it will find Horses, Dogs, Goats, surrounding the hen house. Tomorrow I won't be working on the land and I can focus on predator prevention. Who am I kidding it's predator eradication with extreme duress...
OK, I rolled out at 4:30AM, worked all day it's 9:00PM .... I'm done ...
G'night all... 1 hour ago - View -

Texas State Confessions : #9204
I have considered myself gay for about 13 years now. However, over the last few years, I have found myself increasingly attracted to women. I'm still attracted to men and consider myself fully pan-sexual. The thing is, I've yet to be with a woman, so it's hard to really know for sure. Even though I've had many relationships with men, and am pretty confident in my attractiveness, there is still a part of my brain that says, "Oh, girls would never be attracted to me. I'm not manly enough." I secretly feel that girls would be grossed out by the sex I've had with men and immediately lose interest. I guess I'm just dealing with an inferiority complex, and want to be seen by women as someone other than just to go shopping with or something. Thoughts, Bobcats? 1 hour ago - View -
