They sent me home with 75 lbs of Fluid on my body and Blood Clots in
both lungs. I now have to administer shots in my Tummy daily, take over
5 bottles of various medications and can NOT fly in an airplane or
travel long distances until they say it's safe.

But, I'm Still Breathing & Living life to the best of my ability.

HOWEVER,
I refuse to give in to this Crippling, Horrible and
Elusive disease. As I lay in the Hospital bed , 9 days after achieving
my dream of Writing, Producing, Directing and Scoring the Original
Music for my OWN Theatrical Production, 3 days after seeing my son
Graduate High School ( who got accepted on a Band Scholarship at
Norfolk State University) and 2 days after celebrating our Historical
Accomplishment with the Cast & Team of HIPS the Stage Play; I promised
myself that No Matter what those doctors walk in that room and tell me,
I WILL NOT BREAK! I WILL NOT STOP DREAMING! and I WILL NOT LAY DOWN
AND DIE! I will fight until the end!

Pain Aside, I WILL BE INTERVIEWED ON RADIO TODAY AT 11:15 THIS MORNING ON AM 1310 with The Infamous Mark Rawlison and will be singing June 29, 2013 at the Deloris D. Mayo Walk for Sarcoidosis Foundation at Mt. Trashmore in Va Beach, VA

THE BOTSWANA GAZETTE : Woman arrested for killing her baby

A 24 year old woman of Sikwane was arrested on Monday for killing her 10 months baby boy and dumping him inside a pit latrine toilet.

According to Acting Station Commander at Sikwane Police Station, Inspector Eric Dambe, the incident happened in the afternoon after the mother to the accused had left her with her baby. He said it is alleged that the accused strangled her baby to death, cut his head and burnt him.

“At first she said she had given the baby to someone who was going to South Africa before confessing to having wrapped the baby with pampers before burning and throwing him in the pit latrine,” Dambe said.

He said that the mother to the accused reported the matter to them after receiving an unsatisfactory explanation about the whereabouts of the child from the accused.

The suspect is expected to appear before Mochudi Magistrate Court to answer for murder charges on 27th June.

Preheat a cast-iron skillet and the oven. The skillet should be preheated over medium-high heat for 5 minutes and the oven should be preheated to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (163 degrees Celsius). Note that this method works especially well for thicker cuts of steak, since it minimizes overall cooking time. The less amount of time the steak spends inside a warm oven, the juicier it will be.

Make sure that the cast-iron skillet is well-seasoned beforehand. A well-seasoned cast-iron skillet will not need to be greased before you add the meat to it.

Brown the steak in the skillet. Let the steak cook in the skillet for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Use tongs to flip the steak and verify that it has browned nicely on both sides.

For best results, remove the steak from the refrigerator 2 hours in advance to allow it to come to room temperature.

Transfer the steak to the oven. Remove the cast-iron skillet from the stovetop and transfer it directly into the oven. Cook for roughly 15 to 20 minutes or until it reaches desired doneness. Cast-iron cookware is safe to use in the oven, but many other types of pans are not.

Serve warm. After removing it from the oven, let the steak rest for 5 minutes. Carve it into thin slices, cutting against the grain.

I can remember you walking out the door heading to work 11pm-7am meeting my mom so she could work 7am-3pm. You then made breakfast for me, got me ready for school and attended every school event. As I got older you reminded me daily of the importance of Praying and Trusting God. I can remember you and my grandpa speaking your peace as you would say, but in the end family and 68+ years was worth meeting in the middle. Giving up is not part of my story... As I prayed trying find a balance in how I can work, raise my kids, complete training classes, remember appointments.. In Psalm 55:22 and 1 Peter 5:7, the Bible encourages us to, ‘cast our burden upon the Lord’. Care is a burden; it makes the heart sick. Worry can rob us of happiness. We often labour under the burden of senseless anxiety and care about tomorrow. That is why the Bible tells us to cast the burden upon the Lord for He alone is able to give us rest. The best remedy against anxiety is to cast our burden upon God, believing His divine will to calm our spirit. To cast our burden upon God is to rest our trust in His providence and promise.

His promise does not say He would keep us free from cares and anxiety but that He would give us enough grace to stand and resist those troubles that cause our anxieties, cares and unnecessary fears. If we commit our ways and works to Him, He promised to carry us in the arms of His power, as a nurse carries a child and will strengthen our spirit by His Spirit. He who bore the burden of our sorrows, worries, cares, anxieties and fears, desires us to leave it entirely for Him because He alone knows what it takes to give us rest. Why don’t we trust and let Him prove Himself? After all, He is the Governor of our future - I mean, He owns our future. In other words, after you must have done everything humanly possible, you must leave the issue with God to mark your work.

Our Focus: AGAINST ENVY
A young man somewhere in this country poisoned his younger brother to death. Why? Because his younger brother was more successful than him. He was in charge of the younger brother’s building project. He got so envious over the two palatial building he was handling for his brother and he decided to kill him.
Little did he know that the best of those two building was for him. The younger brother intends to surprise his elder brother with that building as a gift, but he was killed by his brother. The document of the building revealed when found that the bigger of the two building was for the elder brother. This threw the elder brother to madness instantly on discovering that his younger brother was building that house for him.
He cried madly and confessed that he killed his younger brother out of envy. He never knew his brother was building for him. He could not bear the pain, so he poisoned himself and died also.
See what an envy can cause, disaster. When you envy, you end up killing your savior. Envy is a deadly spirit that harms it victim. It disconnects you from greatness. The more you envy the farther you will be from greatness. Appreciate people succeeding and you will attract your success. Don’t envy anyone so you can get to great height in life.

Dave Kirgan : This is group training morning and it's shaping up to be a good one. The sky is over cast and the temperature is back into the 60s. This will be a 7 miler on the hilly river route. I'm looking forward to see how well my new lighter stronger body performs. I have been experimenting with different pre training breakfasts and this morning is fresh strawberries and cantaloupe.

I'm also trying to add little bits of activity to my day as well as the planned exercise. Things like taking a walk in the evening around the mall if my store isn't busy. Although I have discovered something interesting. It takes longer to eat now that I'm only eating fresh food. You actually have to chew it, where the processed dinners don't require much chewing. Never realized that before.

Health is our most valuable treasure and we can be rich with health even if we don't have the best toys.

But this man, this chocolate thunder of man that made even the cataracts in the third eye dissolve in sight of the shadow his beauty cast would come undone at the throat because of how his temper routinely got lost leaving him to plant corrosive words in between his screams.
In that moment, looking at him, my face would break down like a deck of falling cards feeling like I just got played, wondering where did it go; where did the beauty go?
Eventually, after more storms were born from the same dimples his smile adorned I got worn from always needing to hide my heart beat from the temper fists of a beautiful beast. I was forced to understand that his ugly may have an alibi for not showing up on his skin but it was only because it was caught up renovating his soul into a crime scene...
His face may have been the best ever seen but these eyes of mine; these eyes drunk on time have grown too wise to remain a victim of a smoke screen.
