Horror and Shit : I watched two movies recently, for the first time. The Texas Chainsaw (2013) and Westworld (1973). The Texas Chainsaw 3D is a piece of shit. Sure there are a few things they did right, it wasn't all bad. But making Leatherface somewhat heroic, just fucked it up for me. Westworld on the other hand, I really enjoyed it. It was one of those "How the fuck did I overlook this movie all this time?!?" moments, which are rare for me. Michael Crichton wrote and directed it, and it was a fun ride through a 70's vision of the future. Loved it, but beware, its only going to be enjoyable for people who are fans of that era. - ToeCutter

Bill Cadman (R) If you have a moment to watch this video what you will see is an elected official whom I would consider, the scum of the earth. As the father of a victim of the Aurora Colorado shootings tries to speak to him, State Senate Minority Leader Bill Cadman, sits in front of him, at first agitated that someone might actually disagree with him, but when he is finally told by the man speaking that his son was murdered that night by a bullet to the heart, Mr Cadman decides to shut up and listen. But then it looks like he is opening his pad to take notes but it is obvious from looking at his hand that he wasn't writing anything but HE WAS nervously doodling. I don't know how this father sat there without wanting to get up and punch this guy. I couldn't have sat there and put up with that.

The Republican Antagonist : Demand Action - My Son (video)
Anti-gun violence group Mayors Against Illegal Guns released an ad today against Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), featuring the mom of an Aurora shooting victim who says Flake broke his promise to vote for expanded background checks. The ad, titled "My Son," shows Caren Teves discussing the death of her son in the 2012 mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo. Alex Teves, then 24, was killed while shielding his fiancée from gunfire.

Teves says in the ad that she and her husband wrote to Flake urging him to support expanded background checks for firearms purchases, and reads a handwritten letter they received from the Arizona Republican in response.

"I am truly sorry for your loss", Flake wrote. "Strengthening background checks is something we agree on."

A month later, Flake voted against the Manchin-Toomey amendment to expand background checks for firearm purchases. His poll numbers took a dive after the vote, but the senator has defended his position.

"The issue isn't just background checks", Caren Teves says in the ad. "It's keeping your promise -- and Senator Flake didn't".

Jeff Flake : If you are anywhere close to a television set in Arizona in the coming days, you’ll likely see an ad about gun control financed by NYC Mayor Bloomberg.

Contrary to the ad, I did vote to strengthen background checks. I voted for the bipartisan Grassley Amendment, which included language from a bill I helped write which strengthened background checks for those with mental illness. The Grassley amendment also included language to increase prosecution of criminals and fugitives who circumvent the current background check system.

Mayor Bloomberg can spend millions trying to get me to support his view of background checks. That’s his call. But we Arizonans aren’t easily bullied. The legislation that would have done the most to keep guns out of the hands of those who shouldn’t have them was the Grassley Amendment. And that’s the amendment I supported.

And when we elect a Republican Senate Majority and a Republican House we need to hold Obama and his administration accountable for Obamacare, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, the IRS and every other bad leadership decision he has made. The buck stops with Obama and it’s time the People remedy all of the wrongs he has done.

Frankly, I was thinking the same, why are we not hearing much about the shooting on Mothers Day. Then I saw this article. Please read, a short article. Here is an excerpt.

So why am I allowed to go outside? Where's the city quarantine or FBI and Homeland Security presence for this act of "terrorism"?

Because this is an act of domestic terrorism right? Just because the alleged shooter was wearing a white tee and jeans does that suddenly make the shooting a gang-related affair? And we all know how irrelevant gang-related shootings are in America. The Mother's Day shooting is so irrelevant that politicians haven't even bothered to mention it to further their anti-gun agendas. If the shootings aren't even important enough for politicians to spin, then it's truly reached a black hole of irrelevance.
