Natasha Adkinson : AT&T got fired before they were even hired. Their customer services SUCKS!!!! After two weeks of waiting and being on the phone over an hour today and being hung up on several times during the process by their phone system, my patience is completely drained with them. Cassandra Smith : Okay gang, I have a serious question and I need all the input I can get. Please check ALL the ringtones on your phone, if you have the old metal ringer, I need to know what company and what model you have. My mother has a Virgin Mobile phone through Assurance Wireless. She cannot hear it ring. (yes, I turned up the volume as loud as it will go) We have complained multiple times to the company trying to get her a different ring tone. She can hear the loud old fashioned metal sounding ringers that she has heard when we are in stores and stuff from other people's phones but in a crowd you cannot tell who's it is to ask them. The only answer the company gives us is go to the store and have them play all the ringtones on the different Virgin Mobile phone models because they all come from the factory with different ones. Of course if any of the stores around here actually did stuff like that it would help... but they don't. So we are either gonna change companies or phones or both. PLEASE HELP narrow down my search.

John Ader : Are you a customer of AT&T who owns an iPhone 4S or 5 using iOS 6.1 or higher? Well, the company began rolling out a software update that includes "Wireless Emergency Alerts" - one even dealing with President Obama known as "Presidential alerts." But there's a catch....

On June 14, the AT&T Consumer Blog announced the following:

"These are government-issued safety messages that include AMBER Alerts, emergency alerts - such as man-made or natural disasters, and Presidential alerts.

Wireless Emergency Alerts are part of the FCC's CMAS program and are mandated by law. You may turn off alerts (except for Presidential alerts) if you choose. Go to Settings >Notifications>Turn On/Off."

Yes, you read that correctly. Every alert that's a part of the "Wireless Emergency" package can be shut off except for messages from President Obama.

The good news is you won't be charged for the alerts. The bad news is you're stuck with messages dealing with the president even if you don't want to receive them.

Brooks Powell : #AT&T is delivering fantastically appalling service tonight. First a few weeks back it dropped a call 3 times in 5 minutes to Greg Hobbs. Tonight they dropped 5 calls to Greg Hobbs in 15 minutes. So since I couldn't talk with my phone I thought I would stream some music. I dropped my data connection more than 20 times in 5 miles.

If you are considering #AT&T for your cell phone provider, you may want to wait until they get their network working again.
