Jon Price : Don't go to Mount Carmel West Hospital, I have never seen such disregard for a patients well being. My elder mother was just released last night after being there for 4 days. I went to bring her home, she was having difficulty breathing and I immediately made a comment that she was filling up with water. She ask the nurse that prepared her release papers if they were going to prescribe her oxygen or possibly even an inhaler when she got home, that she was having problems catching her breath. The nurse snapped. "You don't need, oxygen, Your levels are fine." Okay, I thought well maybe just being in ICU for 3 days and another day on the regular floor, she was still getting used to moving around and was just tired and moving around just wore her out. Now I wish I had spoken up and demanded to speak to a doctor because, less than 12 hours later she is taken to the emergency room not being able to breath with her lungs full of fluids.

DJ Lazer Dave : A note on video edits ... we were finally making progress...then Cathie went to install a memory card in the computer...which just happens to be behind the cd slot on the side of our computer base... she felt the card start to go in....didn't realize she was in the CD hole and the CD player sucked in the memory card. The computer had to be shipped off to the manufacturer for repairs (don't buy the all in one computers! ...anything need to be fixed - its a multiple week wait while it goes to the manufacturer!)
Anyway - we finally got tired of waiting and went out and got the conversion kit for our Apple Laptop. Cathie has alreay transferred a couple of events to digital format - now we just need to figure out the editing software on the Apple, and a way to convert to a format that we can send out to our clients...
Thank you in all the patience in this! With all the events, and taking care of our Grandson a couple days a week, not much time left over for playing with extra bonus projects.... but we are getting there!

Ya know i don't know what people want from me as an artist well i mean there is the light side of things then there are the dark i stay in the grey for the things that i forgot to say, how can you tell when someone is telling you the truth but then again why would i lie to you this is my life and things i have been through.

No i wouldn't change a thing because i know the things most people wish they would people go your a weirdo other say your my hero even though i feel upset have i earned your respect now that you know what i have down and been through people want to help but i can't excepted their the ones who looked down on me and talked bad about me and my friends i simply did it right back to them but not behind their backs turned it into rap remember that!

I support female rappers or should i say females period i don't want anyone to think less of another human being you don't know what they go through who are you to judge what are drugs if you ask me the only drug out here is jealousy and you all need to quit here are 12 steps but i am the 13th.

If i told you i had the key to heaven but first i had to teach you a lesson guide you through life where would you walk every girl wants to be whisked away and to put on a glass slipper or some sort of high heels in a way we all have wishes how are we suppose to make them come true well it's simple all you have to do is believe in you words from the heart is where you should start i just hide it in art it's up to you to understand this is the spirit of a man who unfortunately will never be something you want him to man get out of my business and do you.

ha ha well not really if i'm sharing it with you but here's a clue i don't need to lie to know that people love me i wouldn't put you there so don't put anything above me either thank you.

Marina Frappier : At 18 I never would have thought that I would be in menopause already or seeing boston specialists monthly sometimes even weekly for AngioEdema, SVT, and being allergic to my own hormones. I never imagined myself having to learn to draw my own blood, or learn to inject myself with $7,000- $50,000 medications...but I do. This entire battle has really showed me how precious life really is, there are many that have lost lives too the life threatening AngioEdema I have and I luckily have been spared through each attack, coming close to near death, yes, but I am grateful that I'm still here. I can't say it's been easy, sometimes I can't get out of bed, my immune system is extremely weak, and sometimes people are just ignorant because I look like societys picture of "normal" most of the time but they don't see me at my worst when I can't breathe or talk or when my stomach is swelled up 10 inches. I have learned you should never judge a book by its cover and everything does happen for a reason because even though it's a day to day struggle deep down I am truly happy with who I am, and who I have met along the way. I'm also on my way to a great career as a Nurse Practitioner and hold a 4.0 gpa which I could not be happier about seeing as just 2 years ago I wasn't even allowed to drive or attend school. Everyday I will keep fighting for people like me to stay positive and work through the struggle, these diseases may never go away, but as long as you find the happiness within yourself...it gets better. Thank you to everyone who has ever helped me or supported me you have no idea how much you are appreciated.

The New Glasgow Academy Enhancement Committees are looking for individuals from our community to TEST DRIVE A FORD on May 25th between 9:00am and 3:00pm on location at Highland Ford. Monies raised from this event will go toward the enhancements of the new P-8 school under construction; the New Glasgow Academy School.

It's easy: 10 minutes = $20.00 donation from Ford to our school!!!

There will be 10 Test Drive Models on site to pick from - F-150, Escape, Edge, Explorer, Fusion, Hybrid Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Taurus and Hybrid C-Max new this year. The Test Drive chaperones are NOT Ford Sales personnel, they are volunteers for the day so no sales pressure. However, if you wish to learn more about a vehicle we can help you make arrangements to speak with a sales person.

The NGJHS Jazz Band will be on site from 10-12 & Choir from 1-2pm providing great entertainment as well, there will be face painting for the kids and a BBQ with all items only $1.00 each

During your test drive take advantage of our student Car Wash for only $4.00

ECFM will be on location from 10-1pm

So if you have been thinking about getting a new car or you want to come out and support a great cause and enjoy some entertainment while doing so, please join us on Saturday... hope to see you there
