Maria Kelly : It's been hard being at work this week (all 3 days) after the sunshine of Italy - ah, lovely Puglia ! Enjoyed a fascinating lecture about Sylvia Pankhurst on Wednesday, which also touched on the 100th anniversary next month of Suffragette Emily Wilding Davison's death at the Epsom Derby. The organisers refused to allow a minute's silence (too inflammatory, apparently...) but thanks to Clare Balding's intervention, have agreed to allow a short montage about her life to be shown. Susan Calman's comedy gig was also very good at the Southbank last night. Now, I really must do some gardening ! 9 minutes ago - View -

Torrius Grantham : Odd time, I know...but I need this. Wasnt able to get comfy anyway. That was a wasted rainstorm.
Ben Pollock : Kicking back on an Epsom salts bath the the beautiful Erin McCombe hoping that it'll scare away the DOMS I'm sure to get from tomorrow thanks to an epic 4 hour training session at the spartan race hurricane workout with the commando.
Only problem is that stepson salts find every scrape cut and bruise. After today I've got plenty!! 1 hour ago - View -
Laurie Davis Lewis : I am up early soaking in Epsom salt in my tub after having a severe leg cramp this morning brought about, no doubt, by my night of dancing at Derrick and Neepa's beautiful wedding... I love weddings and I especially love weddings that I don't have to work! As an event coordinator I get asked by friends to help with their children's weddings, which I love and am so honored to do, but when I occassionally get a chance to be a guest without having to take care of the millions of details that go into a perfect wedding and reception, it is a treat! A lot of Neepa's family and friends wore stunning saris and there was an entire buffet in addition to our meal of Indian cuzine for more adventurous palettes.. The wedding cake was To Die For! I will be asking who made it.. It was incredible! Each of the tables had lanterns and beautiful arrangements that reflected Neepa's heritage.. The bride was a vision..the groom, very charmingly adorable! Derrick Stewart has the prettiest smile, with his shining eyes and he definitely was all grins last evening.. Cindy, the groom's mom, was her perfectly coiffed self, down to her navy nail polish.. She is my fashion guru! Lol! Always appropriately trendy! She has a love for fashion and last night she looked radiant! The DJ kept the party hopping and us old timers tried to represent!lol.. After about 2 party mixes a friend who also loves to dance, made the comment that they needed to turn up the air in the ballroom cause this wasn't David Allen Coe,.. I told him I doubted that any of the wedding party except the best man who was the groom's dad, even knew who David was! But music from a later era and knowing we would pay for our efforts this morning didn't stop us from dancing late into the night with the happy couple.. It was a magical evening, as weddings should be! I wish the couple a lifetime of memories as special as last night! 1 hour ago - View -
