Gina Knauss Lorson : Does Carney's latest IRS story pass a smell test? President Obama's staff deliberately kept him in the dark about an impending report on the Internal Revenue Service scandal, his press secretary said Monday.
White House press secretary Jay Carney said during his daily briefing with reporters White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler had been notified a Treasury Department inspector general's audit report was on the way but decided it "wouldn't be appropriate" to tell the president.
Carney said Chief of Staff Dennis McDonough and other top officials were told the general nature of the report but a "judgment" call was made not to tell Obama it would show the IRS had targeted conservative groups for extra tax scrutiny.
Carney said Ruemmler "made clear that it was her view, and others shared this view, that there was not a need, in a situation like this with an ongoing investigation or audit, that the president should be notified."

Fatima Malik : I think this is my last time working at a polling place. I am just too disappointed by how the city runs these places. I reluctantly decided to be inspector this time but was concerned that I had to hold on to the equipment for 10 days! They assured me it was very easy with very little equipment and there would be someone there to help me unload and set up. I show up and they my entire SUV is full of equipment! Alas, I get a call last night saying I only have one person with me at the polls. They assured me they would find at least 2 more. I had told the city clerks office that I had worked at this place before and they would need an armenian translator. They call me back saying it would be me and 3 workers, one of which was a city employee who was being paid the same as her day job to work at the polls. She was supposed to be experienced. At 6 am I am with only one worker with a bad back and no one to help us. The ballot box is locked, can't get to supplies, ballot machine is broken. At 7 am the city worker calls and says she didn't sleep enough so she would be there at 7:30 am instead and had just done this once before as a clerk. Another worker arrives but she does not speak english at all, only spanish. She only knows one word, Sorry. The city clerk's office sent me a worker I cannot communicate with! At 9 am, we are finally fully set up except without a functioning ballot machine. At 10:30 am after consistent calls, our ballot machine is replaced and the city sends over a translator for my poll worker! LOL! So basically they hired a woman who cannot do anything except stare because she doesn't even know the english alphabet and now have hired someone to translate for her. I could go on and on...but it's just too heartbreaking. Going back to my poll table to wallow... 34 minutes ago - View -
THE RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog was killed - possibly with a hammer - in a horrifying act of cruelty.
The dog - a large, female, tan coloured, crossed breed - was pulled from the River Huntspill near Bridgwater on Sunday by a member of the public.
Her skull was caved in and the charity says the injury was caused deliberately by a blunt instrument.
The RSPCA said the dog, an adult, had not been in the water long before the “very upsetting” discovery was made.
The member of the public who found the animal phoned the police, before they in turn contacted the RSPCA.
RSPCA inspector Hayley Lawrence said: “A post mortem carried out by a vet has established that her skull had been smashed on the left side of her head with deliberate force from a blunt instrument such as a hammer.
“Her body is like that of a greyhound but she has a jaw like a bull dog.
“If anyone recognises that description and can give me any information about her owner would they please call the inspector information line on 0300-1238018 and leave a message for me.” 38 minutes ago - View -

Peter Kay : ‘IT’S SCARY’: Records show IRS officials independently targeted conservative training materials I consider Dylan Nonaka a very good friend of mine. To see that Obama's thugs (sorry, that's what you call people who illegally persecute the enemies of your leader - its the Chicago way) went after him using the IRS hammer should wake up every American to a very, very scary situation where our government is going after people it disagrees with. This is a very, very big deal and tyranny of the worst possible kind. How can this possibly be happening in America, the land of the free? 1 hour ago - View -
Jay Howard : 8 years ago the Plumbing Inspector made me install some device to be sure the drain hoses from the softener, RO water and furnace didn't come out of the 2 inch PVC drain pipe and cause water damage. Well it reduced it down so much I thought I'll just take it off after the Occupancy Permit was issued. Well I forgot about it and last night it plugged while the softener was cycling and spilled water all over. Lucky Jake saw it just as it started, and I took the damn thing off. 2 hours ago - View -

White Women That Love Chocolate Men : Ok u in a relationship and u feel that the other person is cheating, u cant just ask them cuz u know its a strong chance of possibility they will lie to u. Senator Mike Crapo : Senator Crapo probes IRS officials VIDEO: Today, I had the opportunity to question Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officials at a Senate Finance hearing. I expressed to the Inspector General for Tax Administration that I could not see how an agency as powerful as the IRS engage in this kind of conduct and it not be politically motivated. If you look at the IRS, perhaps more than any other agency of government, it has the capacity to be the prosecutor, the judge, the jury and the executioner in ways that can devastate individuals, families and businesses. It is inconceivable for the American people to believe the notion to target these individuals just coalesced and came together. http://youtu.be/fx9hhVWHRgU Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) questions Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officials about the agency targeting conservative leaning groups at a Finance Committee... Alabama Fishing Buddy : Entirely too hot to be pouring lead in the shop... A fan just isn't enough. Might be time to think about air conditioning for the shop. The unit itself is no problem but I don't have room in the breaker box to add a 220 circuit and the existing 110 service to the shop will not handle the load. Thinking about going to a larger breaker because right now my radial arm saw is prone to throw the switch. That's hell when you lose power in the dark. Lol. Any of you PROFESSIONAL electricians out there willing to offer some advice as to wether it would be okay to just go to a larger breaker or not. I'm not being a smart ass but please try to contain yourself and not offer advice if you are not qualified to do so. 3 hours ago - View -
